Hello everyone, I am residing in Jamaica . I have just discovered this site today and I must say it has been very helpful so far. My fiance filed September 2015. We have been through most of the stages and is currently at Packet 3. Which is proving to be a difficult stage as my expiration date of 27 January 2016 is drawing near and I have been unable to secure a K1 visa interview date as I have been told there is no interview date available for a K1 visa. I would like to know what should I expect if the 27 January date past and I have not gotten a interview date before or after. Any advice on Packet 3 would be greatly appreciated.

As I know you have to call consulate in Jamaica and ask them to extend your date. They can do that and I think they have to! Do not wait your date to expire!

Good luck!

Thank you so much. My fiance is having an issue with his tax information, his accountant husband had a health scare so it will probably put a delay on me getting the documents for my interview. Would that be a red flag in my interview do you think ?

If he did tax for last year I don't think you should have any problems ;) just move that date as soon as you can!

If your Fiancé makes decent money the embassy only asked for the I-134. I did give them my tax transcripts (he can request them easily online and they deliver in only days). I had my employer letter, but they didn't want it. I sent u a pm the other day. Blessings.

Congrats guys. Wish you all the best of luck on your interview date.

That should be acceptable, but you may want to ask this question in your region/embassy forum just to be safe. Our embassy didn't ask for those either.

Congrats to all new approvals and a happy new year to all! :goofy::joy:

I just came back home from the US to spend Christmas and NYE with my love. I had a wonderful time but now it feels like the stress continues.

The actual plan was to send pack 3 to the embassy before Christmas (before my visit). But the papers stuck in customs (nobody knows why..... it's only papaerwork! lol), even though he sent it with priority mail...

So now I'm getting everything ready to send it tomorrow.

My question now: I already filled the DS160 before I travelled and there I had to say when my last visit to the US was. Does anybody know if that could cause a problem or how I could change the DS160 again, even though I already got the confirmation page for submitting it?

I really hope somebody can help me. I'm already anxious again
