Timeline

Hi guys, need some help cause this is driving me insane.

NVC received our papers on 11-16, assigned case number 11-19, on 11-19 the tracker was saying "at NVC", on 11-20, the tracker changed to "in transit" and it's been like that ever since. Today's 12-10, that's 20 days so far.

The thing that bothers me is that checking the DHL tracking web site and using shipper's reference number I can find a ton of cases (between 11-15 and 12-08 so far) but not a single one of them went to China. Do they not use DHL to ship to China? What am I missing? What's taking so long?

Anything good is a joyous occasion for me!! The smallest thing is a step closer. I have honestly never done anything so stressful in my life! 40 days will go so quickly though - Christmas is always so busy and quick, sooner than you think it will be January then BOOM - interview!!!!!!!!!! My fiancé has been gone a week already and it feels like it was yesterday! TIME FLIES.

Hey all! My fiance had his interview in San Jose, Costa Rica yesterday afternoon. After over two hours of no communication (phone turned into a locker), he called to report that everything went really well and we did everything perfectly. EXCEPT, the doctor's secretary wrote his middle name wrong, so his medical documents were invalid and necessary to process the visa. They weren't going to interview him at all, but everyone was so nice and helpful and sympathetic that he had come from so far away, so they went forward with the process anyway. He answered a bunch of questions about our relationship- details about how and when we met, my family- names and occupations of my parents, names and ages of my siblings, etc.

They kept his passport, with an approval pending the updated documents. He went immediately back to the doctor's office, where he learned that the secretary had already been fired for similar mistakes (how frustrating that it didn't happen a week earlier!!!!). After a lot of initial frustration and disappointment at how hard we'd worked and how much money we'd spent, doing everything right and it all coming down to one careless mistake of an uninvested third party.... we're trying to act as quickly as possible to fix the situation. At the moment, he is back and forth between the post office and the embassy, as each location is telling him he needs this one thing from the other in order to get the documents into the right hands.

Deeeeep breaths, and hopefully this ridiculous process is almost over. If this hasn't taught patience, I don't know what would!:jest::bonk:

Hoping it all goes well for all of us...we have come so far. I think I will be eating my words in the near future thinking that the 'waiting' was the hardest part. The packing up and moving is going to be crazy. At least my medical is over which I think was driving me the craziest thinking I was about to be diagnosed with every incurable and inadmissible thing in the world. I know, I'm crazy but it is really comforting to know that I am 'not alone' in this craziness where the slightest thing in the world panics me into ridiculous thinking.

Thanks God for all of you and all of our awesome moderators who always jump in quickly to keep us all track. I love those guys and girls <3

We finally got our RFE sent in, and received a text & email yesterday that the CSC has received it, and will continue to work on our case. Hopefully everything else is okay and it won't take them long to finish our application.

Does anyone here know the link for the Philippine sub-forum?

Just want to know if you guys can schedule your interview for next year 2016. I've checked the website but available date is until 22nd of December :(

And what does the validity date on NOA2 means? Is it different from what they say 6 months from the medical date?

Please help, I'm now so confused as we are planning to have the interview on 1st week of January and POE on the end week of March. ;(

Philippine sub-forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

I think the interview schedule for January 2016 will only be available once December is almost filled-up. I'm planning to have my interview on January too.

Validity of NOA2 means you have 4 months from approval until you get an interview appointment. But as far as Philippine embassy is concerned and according to some senior members here on VJ, our NOA2 validity is automatically extended up to 1 year.

Stay chill & good luck on your journey, you're almost there ;)
