I still didn't understand, if USCIS works on cases by the date they received the case, or by the NoA1 date.

How they work - very few people know(my guess by NOA1 - because that is the date your information has been entered into the system)

However your NOA1 date should be 2-3 days after they received and in theory the order of should be the same.

According to USCIS' own website: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.doon processing times, they "... generally process cases in the order that we receive them..." so according to their own site its a first come first serve type of setup and not based on the noa1 date.

They cannot process something until it is entered into the computer system.

NOA1 date is a timestamp when the info was entered into the system.

I have seen a few NOA2 for Aug 31, my question is why when you look at the immigration processing times for CSC it says Aug 25....are these processing time dates correct? Trying to be patient and positive about this whole process.

I"m getting anxious that I haven't heard anything yet about the package. It was delivered on the 17th early in the morning and no NOA1 as of yet. Maybe getting just a little too anxious but I've seen where some people got their NOA1 in 2 days.

I might have an RFE, because I used the British or non america passport photo size.
