Hello All!

Going through some serious anxiety at the moment.....awaiting an available slot for interview appointment. I thought that by the point our process was here id be a bit more chill, but it just seems to get worse. Hoping everything for us and everyone moves along quickly.

Any word yet?

What questions did they ask you in the interview?

Don't know the full details yet, as my fiance is still traveling back home.

What I do know they asked about:

- About me, the petitioner.... (i guess to see how well she knows me)

- how we met...

From what I understood they cut her off in the middle of the second question, and said she is approved. Took her passport and gave her the approval notice.

Quick and easy.

Congrats! When will you travel ?

I'm still in AP, I'm praying for an approval before Thanksgivig

Thanks.

We are thinking around mid-late December. She needs to quit her job, gather everything...

We definitely want to welcome-in the New Years together.

Thanks guys for your replies!

I received packet 4 by e-mail this morning (I'm the petitioner) and well the Paris consulate gave us an interview for February 2nd ... I'm kinda bummed, I was hoping we could pick it ourselves for next month. Everything has been moving so quickly, and now we get an interview 2 months away ...

I wonder if we can change it? ... once we pay for the visa we can schedule the interview, and I saw that they had available as soon as next week! But the e-mail says only that day (Feb 2) is valid.

Hey Syunny0125,

Wow... February 2!!

I'm about to send back the DS-2001 form tomorrow at the US Embassy of Paris and I was dreading that type of interview date....

Did you also have to send the DS-2001? Did they get back to you fast??

We were hopping with my fiancé to be together in January... I guess that will not be possible... What about your NOA2 date? Can't you email them and explain that you need a closer date?

Let me know, we are on the same boat in Paris ;)

Marie

I was originally given a 1/25 date, then i emailed the Embassy explaining that by then our I120F petition, medical, and police records would have expired and that I got everything as specified and as quickly as possible. They emailed back letting us our interview was in two days.

Yeah I think we should do that too if the interview date is too far... My NOA2 expires Feb 22.

Apparently you better be ready for the interview whenever ;)

We mailed the DS-2001 on Friday and received the e-mail this morning with instructions on how to pay for the visa, get the medical done, and the interview date of February 2nd.

But when my fiancé went to pay for the visa earlier, the next step (tab) on the website is to schedule the interview, and he saw lots of available dates so he chose Dec 17th ... and we received the confirmation just fine.

I'm just worried because the packet 4 e-mail says that only that date is valid (Feb 2nd), but it also says that if the interview has already been set up in anticipation, to leave it as is. So maybe they aren't so strict about it? They just give you whatever date to start. How do they know we didn't already have Dec 17th scheduled, you know?

That's the problem... I read on other forums that some people DO schedule an interview date different from what's on their paper, because their date is no "longer" available on the website....

Other people just take another date that is closer... But I never find a clear answer to that problem...

Which paper is your fiancé going to show at the Embassy entrance? The email that you got this morning or the interview date through their website?

I think you should email them just to be sure. They should get back to you within 2 days : parisconiv@state.gov

I read that sometimes, if you email them and ask them, they will give you another interview date way much closer (like 2-3 days from today).

That's what I am going to do I think, but I'll be sure to get my medical appointment before.
