Hi everyone,

We got our Alien # (NOA2) and NVC Case Number (through mail). But I did not get our IIN from NVC. Should I call or email the NVC to get it? Are we going to need it for later?

You should be good without it. I never needed it.

Hey guys! I recieved an emailed packet 3, and in the instructions it says to fill out the DS-160 Online Immigrant Visa Application. I'm confused because I only come across the NON-Immigrant DS-160. On the U.S. Department of State's page when I click Paris, France as country where we are filing it automatically opens up a NON-Immigrant application as well. So should I worry? Is there even an "Immigrant" DS-160....? On the DS-160 confirmation page he completed it does show that it's for a K-1 visa.

My Status is Ready since Nov. 09th. Today i checked again since i was curious if there was any change.

Today "Status Updated Date" changed to Nov. 20th - im guessing that means Packet 3 is in the Mail. Hopefully i'll receive it by Monday or Tuesday. So exciting! :)

Well the K - Visas are Non-immigrant visas with intend of immigration after POE and marriage. Nothing to worry about.

Mine is too. My update date changed on the 12th and then yesterday, the 19th too but still nothing in the mail :/ so idk what it means.

if it wasn't for the people on here, there is no way I would have managed to complete the I-129F at ease! It's complicated! At one point I felt like I had a second job!

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

That is really strange that your case has not arrived. She can't have the interview if your file is not at USEM. Here is what I recommend and in this order.

  1. Contact NVC and asked to be passed to a supervisor or a Tier 2 representative. Explain your situation and blah blah blah (you know what to do and say)
  2. Try contacting through email the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.
  3. Contact USEM by phone and see what they can do for you and whether you need to change your appointment.
  4. Last schedule an INFOPASS appointment through the following link: https://infopass.uscis.gov/
  5. Last but not to be forgotten contact your congressman(woman)

I contacted NVC 2 days ago and requested a supervisor. No supervisor available for me to talk to so they set me up for a call back. Still have not received a call from a supervisor. I emailed the ombudsman email yesterday and got a response today that said they only deal with USCIS. Could not help me with NVC. They suggested I email NVC which I did last Monday. Still have no response from that email. VERY frustrated with NVC. Seems like no one there is interested in helping. :ranting::ranting:

I guess I will try the embassy next week.

Glory be to God!!!! Just got off the phone with NVC. They said my case FINALLY finished processing today and should be sent out to Manila in the next few days. What a huge relief that was to hear. I'll be even more excited when I finally see our status change to in transit!! :D
