It was just so disappointing cause we had someone take good care of everything and yet still resulted to this. My fiancé is very busy at work and could not take care of the necessary documents to prepare so we hired someone to do it and file for us

Yeah I already have an idea.. Been seeing a lot of RFE cases here on VJ because of the missing letter of intent to marry from the beneficiary. I didn't know by the time our petition was sent that both letter was needed. When I signed up here on VJ and read all about it, I was already speculating we'll get an RFE because of that but also hoping that it will pass their attention.

You fill out the I-134 for your interview. If you cannot meet the financial support (125% of the poverty level) then you will need a sponsor who also must meet that same requirement. Family members are always best to use. They will fill out the I-864. I hope this helps.

Okay, now I'm confused. This link says, "Get a co-sponsor / joint sponsor that is a member of the USC’s family. Both the USC petitioner and the Co-sponsor signs each his own I-134 Affidavit of Support and submits supporting documents of their claims on the Form I-134." This link says, "The US fiance is ALWAYS the primary sponsor, but may have a co-sponsor. If there is a co-sponsor, both the US fiance and the co-sponsor will EACH have to fill out the affidavit I-134 or I-864 and EACH will have to provide supporting documentation."

What is the co-sponsor supposed to fill out and sign? The I-134 or the I-864? Both of them? I'm about ready to just have her fill out each form and sign it and send them all to my fiancee so at least she has whatever she is supposed to have when she does the interview. I can't seem to get consistent agreement from more than 2 sources on this and it gets very confusing trying to find out what I am supposed to send for the co-sponsor.

Based on what I read, I-134 is the form co-sponsor should be filling out for now (Affidavit of Co-Sponsor - Consulate). Form I-864 is the joint sponsorship you need to fill out during the AOS application.

For your peace of mind, you can just send both forms to her =)

So we're planning to have my fiance fly on March next year. When will be the best time to have the embassy interview if we are planning to have the wedding by May?

I read that K-1 visa is only valid for 6 months and filing of AOS should be before the expiration of the K-1 visa.

So I'm not sure if we are still within the timeline based on the current processing time for interviews at the Manila embassy.

It expires upon POE and your status will now based on the I-94 that will be given to you by the immigration upon POE which indicates that you have to get married and file Adjustment of Status within 90 days.. As far as I know it's the missing letter of intent to marry coming from me.

You might get that letter this week since you receive the notification last week.

I hope so too!! I'll keep finger crossed. I actually thought they could have given me an interview for January since Christmas is next month!!!

I want to say to all of those people who are still waiting in the process that everything will work out eventually.

I know how much frustrating can be when things are not as we expected, but love wins always. I truly believe in it.

I am not spending a nice period, now I can finally see the light. I am super stressed out, and frustrated, even if the journey went smoothly so far, but I am the kind of person who keep being in anxious.

I wasn't able to sleep pretty well last night, because nervous about the date of interview, that turned out it is just a miracle.

I can't stay without my fiancée, it is a truly sufferance for me, like many others of you.

I just be positive because, love always wins.
