Good morning everyone. Pls, im so confused now. Im a student, I've already filed K1 petition for my fiance and it has been approved, now im sorting out the documents for the next phase. My parents file their taxes together, but my dad is the one sponsoring the process, I requested for the IRS 3 years back transcripts, and I've gotten them. The issue now is, my father's letter of Verification letter stating where he works, his pay, how long, permanent or temporary employment. He wrote a request letter for that, but the company said that the letter cannot be given to him by hand or sent to the mail, but can only be sent to LAGOS embassy dirrectly. Pls, has anyone gone through this before? Bcos, my point is that the company didn't even know his interview date, and the letter that will be sent to Lagos will just be sent there qithout any other accompanying documents. Pls help!!!

I don't understand why they can not give it directly to your dad

This is done alll the time for various reason such as applying for mortgage or rental agreement

He needs to talk to someone in Human Services directly state he needs it as you you don not yet know the NVC case number you will be assigned when case gets to NVC

Sending it to the embassy it would get totally lost

They would not know what to do with it

each document needs case number

both names and birth dates

in upper right hand corner

Yes, no case number yet, sending the letter on its own doesn't make sense because the beneficiary has to hand it over to the CO in Lagos as a supporting document, and not to be sent ahead of time. I even attached a copy of the Approved petition for a convinced proof, but the Human Resources (HR) still said it has to be sent to US embassy in Lagos. My dad works in 2 places, can he get the letter from the other one? because the 2 working.places is on the IRS/W2 tax.forms or he has to get the letters from the 2 places? Pls help

He can make his own letter and put a contact person name and number in HR. Or you can just for go it. It's optional. If you are submitting current Paystub its really not necessary.

for me its totally out of place.

the request is his personal information. just wondering why they wont hand it over to him.

my fiancé placed same request to both her bank and company and they granted her request which I took to my K1 interview last week

let him walk up the HR. tell them the implication of doing what they intend to do
