I'm just confused on what to do after acquiring a MNL#.

I read on a blog that I can already start scheduling interview and medical as long as I have my MNL#. but when I check USEM it is stated there that after they receive our petition from NVC, they will send instructions to me about the documents I need to prepare, and how to schedule your appointment.

you have to wait for embassy to get your packet to schedule the appointment

meanwhile start getting the documents ready for NVC

don't do the medical until embassy and you have scheduled the interview as the visa is only good for 6 months from date of interview

You can schedule your interview and medical as long as you have the MNL case number. As soon as you pay the visa fee wait atleast 12 hrs to allow time to process your payment before you schedule your interview. Also register online for the SLEC medical exam so you don't have to do it when you go to SLEC. Go for your medical 7-10 days before your interview appt. this will allow you enough time if there is any problem with the medical.

In Philippines there is no Packet 3 or 4 that will be sent. All information is scattered on multiple sites online. A few people here have very good guides that can fill in the gaps.

Once assigned an MNL case number, the USEM gets the case usually within the week. You can start paying for your interview and medical if you time it correctly, but also make sure the beneficiary has all the documents ready; copy of the I-129F package, I-134 Affidavit of Support from Petitioner, CENOMAR, NBI, Birth Certificate, extra evidence in case if asked, copy of NOA2, Affidavit of Support (if beneficiary is 18 - 21 years of age, not to be confused with I-134 form) or Affidavit of Advice (if beneficiary is 21 - 25 years of age).

Always use the CEAC tracker with your case number to be sure you are safe to schedule interview or if complications arise.

Be careful of what you read. The Embassy for the Philippines is different then other Embassy's. The answer is yes you can continue the process without P3 and P4 as they are never received because they are addressed to the beneficiary in the Philippines and PhilPost sucks because mail never arrives.

Go to my signature below, use the link at the twisting arrow, and use the website for every step of your processing at USEM. It was made to help folks like you from all the experiences from those who went before you. The information is continuously updated to give you the most current information for the K1 visa journey.

 Wrong! They do not have to wait. The Philippine Embassy is different from other Embassy's and the P3 never arrives. This Embassy never does anything for you. Of course if you don't want to wait a zillion years to process. Got to take the Bull by the horns.

Additional docs are the W-2 and Employment letter. CENOMAR and NBI can't be older than 6 months at time of interview. The medical is easy to schedule. NOA2 is not necessary but is for the filing of the AOS after marriage. It's best to direct the beneficiary to the Embassy letter as what is contained in it are the only requirement that are asked for at time of interview.

Once you have your MNL # there is nothing to wait for coming from the embassy. Everything IS online. Yes click the link you included, then click the link for the K-1 preparations letter, save it, print it out... read it, follow it, use it for your checklist!

For details follow the flashing arrow below in my signature.

you have to wait for embassy to get your packet to schedule the appointment

meanwhile start getting the documents ready for NVC

don't do the medical until embassy and you have scheduled the interview as the visa is only good for 6 months from date of interview

Not so for the Philippines. Every embassy is different with requirements.
