Our interview is still on September 30th. Called NVC and the lady said there wasn't any change in our case. She said she wasn't sure why they cancelled some people while others didn't get cancelled.

Great.... Thats mean 30 is safe.... So most likely it was Eid issue

But I saw two others with 30th that said they were cancelled. So who knows what could have happened. Maybe Eid maybe capacity issue. It's always something it seems.

And thanks. Inshallah everyone will get their interviews rescheduled very soon. Pray for this week :)

Booking a flight is more than an inconvenience :S

It is the trying to reschedule everything that is way more than an inconvenience. Although, my favorite line in the email was "You do not need to take any action at this time."

My interview is cancelled as well it was suppose to be on 30th just received confirmation email about cancellation.

Ours is on the 30th as well, but when I called NVC earlier, they said we were still scheduled. I don't understand why ours wasn't cancelled like the rest.

After seeing sammajee say that their interview got cancelled, I decided to call NVC again to double check and see about our interview. First, the lady confirmed the date, but after I told her about everyone else's being cancelled she said to hold on and let her read something. After reading she said I'm going to put you on hold. After 2 minutes, she came back and said we are still checking, and finally after another 5 minutes of being on hold she came back and said that our case was fine. She told me that only a selected "handful" of interview were cancelled. I was thinking to myself that there were more than just a "handful"

I can understand, our medical residency interviews at different hospitals are starting from the end of next month and we were really hoping to get back to the US in time on an immigrant visa.. Now i'll to buy a return ticket on my B1/B2 to get through my initial interviews till they schedule the immigrant visa interview.. That's another friggin 1200$ down the drain if not more!

What "actions" can we take? Put on a lehanga and do the bhangra? :/
