Yes we are providing the pakistan pcc. We provided it at the NVC and will bring it to the interview.l

Yes it was about $115 or between 11 and 12k pr. It took a couple hours and we will have the report on the 7th.

As per the department of state website, the pcc is not required for pakistan.

If you didn't provide one to the nvc that is what will be marked. If you have the time go apply for one, it is not worth it to have a delay because you didn't pricier it. That was my perspective at least.

NEED HELP!!!!

My joint sponsor just called me today and said that he cannot send his updated tax returns for the year 2014 since he has a further extension on his tax returns because of some reasons and is asking me if his son can sponsor me? Of all the #$#$#Q$$ things that could go wrong! :@

His son makes a healthy amount almost 100K so what do i do now? do i call the NVC? Do i call the embassy? Or do i just show up with the new i-864 and tax returns at the interview?

NVC loves us so much, they daily do a meeting about this issue of chnaging our status, and every time they come up with this statement

'' Oh No, These people are very nice cute etcetra, we cannot chnage their status. Its very hard for us to do it right now. We do really appreciate your Patience''

Guys a quick question, do we need to take some money to ISL embassy?

Somebody told me that you need 20-25 thousand Rupees there, its some kind of visa fee.

Well I have not heard anything like this before.

Any suggestions????

You need some money for the shuttle, it was 200 pk in December

Inside the embassy they also accept credit although if you paid your fees at the NVC you should not have a fee to pay at the interview

Police Records

Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.

I did not provide it at NVC but I think it's still a good idea to have the PCC for interview it takes a day or two to get it.

Don't think so you need money except for shuttle service which is PKR 200 and once you get the visa you will have to pay the USCIS Immigrant visa fee which is $165. USCIS uses this fee to process your immigrant visa packet and produce your Green Card and this fee can be paid online

Since I hear concerns about PCC. I heard from VJ that NVC or embassy have agencies in Pakistan that have private investigators to check background.

My packet 4 has these two lines

10 - CANADA POLICE CERTIFICATE S
10 - PAKISTAN POLICE CERTIFICATE X

I do think if you always lived in the same area your entire adult life within same police district, you can just get the certificate from that district. But again, since US knows how things work in Pakistan, you can always get them all clear by paying chai pani money, they won't be in anyway reliable. Indian police however have much better system.
