Call NVC once a week to inquire abt ur interview date. In the 3rd week and after, make calls 2 to 3 times in a week.

My interview was scheduled exactly one month after CC. Goood luck!

My interview was scheduled exactly one month after CC. Goood luck!

My CC date was 30th oct. I called NVC and asked if my case has been sent to Pakistan embassy or not, for which she replied no. She didnt give me the time frame as the embassy asks for appointments itself. Furthermore my PD is falling in november end-dec, that is exactly after a month. Lets see and hope for the best:)

My wife had her interview on October 20th

They told her they are approving her and took her passport.

However, as of today 11/7, she hasnt received the passport and online still says administrative processing.

I did email them but no reply and yes its been more than 10 days since I contacted them since I gave them 10 days to reply.

Not sure what I should do or if anyone else has had this happen to them.

I have 2 queries, please help those who have had there interviews:

According to my interview letter, i need to bring my original passport, birth certificate and marriage certificate as it says "J" next to them. Next to Financial evidence it says "Y" which means:

Y - The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate

1. Should I bring original signed i864 form to the interview along with other financial docs like IRS tax transcript, pay stubs etc ??

2. Reviews on The Residence to stay for 2 days? Or pls name another affordable hotels/guest houses within the vicinity of the US embassy that is safe and comfortable. TIA

1) Just putting my wife through the same process. I asked her to take everything written on the ISL consulate website, whatever is written on the interview letter and also all the documents they did not request.

2) The Serena - nice but expensive - however it is the nearest in proximity to the Embassy. Islamabad Hotel. Many hotels available in Blue Area and near Aabpaara.

Also Faizabad for cheapest option

Also use the above to get familiarized more and it also might help answer some questions.
