Hi there!

I had my interview yesterday at American embassy at Islamabad for K-1 fiancé visa !

When I was asked for my fingerprints at the counter ,During that process I have seen my file , and on top of that it was stamped "APPROVED" , I was happy as I already know I am gonna approved.

Than I was called to another counter for payment of visa fee and I have seen my file again with " APPROVED" page on top of it .

Than finally I was called upon for my interview and seen my file again stating "APPROVED" . I was happy as I knew it's approved .

But than begins the interview ,I greeted the CO ,there were two white men ,CO & his colleague ,he asked me following questions?

He took my left hand finger prints again

Q:U spend some time in UK?

I replied ....studies & work .

Q: than was asked for any of my family member outside Pak

I replied ..no

Q:He asked me about my wedding plans ?

I told him ...

Q:he asked me what my family think about that marriage ?

I replied...

I don't know what was that but he was pointing on computer screen and talking to his colleague ( something he don't seem to be agreed / or happy ..God knows what ?)

Than he told me we are putting you in Adminstratibe processing AP, and than told me contact them after 1 month (if I don't hear from them call/ email them )

The whole time of my interview I was confident and peaceful ,just for a little while when he said about AP, but I greeted them and wish them a gud day ( DONT know it was a good sign to say as I was confident when he said they putting me in AP, and I said OK).

My quarry is ,was it my hardluck or something ?

As they didn't ask me anything about my FIANCÉ ,and didn't ask about any of the document neither mine / nor my fiancé .they didn't give me any clue what I'm missing or why I'm being held in AP

ANY ONE PLS COMMENT AS I AM REALLY FEELING LOW, we already make plans of our marriage etc...

Is this normal that u see yourself APPROVED & than CO PUT U IN AP????

To my knowledge AP takes anywhere from couple weeks to infinity. In most cases it has taken a few months.

Yes, it is a complete background check on you which would include any kind of criminal history etc. If you have a common name, it might take longer. Please search VJ for some topics on what background checks entails.

First Of All thanks to all mighty Allah. I have best birthday gift ever. They approved me. Easiest interview ever.

They didnt ask anything , I am sharing my experience.

I woke up at 4am and got ready and then pray.

I hired a private car for droping as well as pickup for 1000 rs.

First every one who's applying for foreign will reach at DSS(Diplomatic Shuttle Service) first. I reached there approx 450am there were already 3 peoples waiting. Gate opens sharp 6 am. So before 6 am line became lenghty. When Gate opened Icrossed checked post and entered in a hall where u can.see many counters for different countries. USA for male is on.right side and for females is on.left side u can see USA On top.

They start giving you ticket when embassy called them. So staff come normaly at 6 am. Dont be panic if you have your intetview at 7 am. This time is for coming into Shuttle service not for your actual interview.

Anyways I got ticket and deposit my mobile phone at left corner's counter. Then u go for waiting area to enter into bus. Before waiting a security guard will check you and allow you to enter in waiting area. Bus came and a person shout to enter into bus for countries except USA. So people entered. Second bus came and all usa applicants entered. Bus reached at embasy in 7 to 8 mins.

Where we crossed a security guard. U must keep your passport interview letter and nic with you all.the time before entering in embassy. Security guard will check.IL and passport and will ask you abkut medical. Say yes if you have. Then you wil enter into main area. Then again security will check you. They asked you to take out medical reports, all documents watch , wallet belt, then they give you back after crossing the machine. U can wear belt again when u leave that door , now you will enter into main hall again where u cam see reception, where they will check yoir passport and interview letter and guve you ticket number. And told you to sit in immigratio area.

So stay calm and keep your documens with u.

Your no will be shout and he will tell you to come with just 2 pictures and nothing else. You can put our docs on your seat. When ylu go for a particular counter they ask you to put for left fingers then right four fingers then both thumbs. He asked just one question.

Who is calling you

I answered my wife.

Then gave a information paper where you can read your rights in usa.

He will tell you to sit back.

Then wait for ykur main interview. I was very nervous my hearts was beating so fast. After 15 mins thy called no. It was a counter 14 where an white american presennt , I said hello he said gud morning to me.

Then he started to review my file. On top of the file approved written but I didnt relax at that time because o doesnt mean ylu have approved too in your interview. He was reviewing my docs for 6 to 7 mins and writing in computer. So just asked me question

Have you ever been in Us?

I said no

Then he said okay and started to review again

And after some time he asked is your wife is in us right now?

I said yes

He said okay

And then he wrote and signed

And told me I am approving your visa you can get in a week by our courier service.

I was smiling at that time and said thank you sir and he smiled too. I dnt have words at that time. He didnt ask for any single documents. No evidence.

Other thing two person sittin next with me applicant of Cr1 and their CO asked alot of questions but mine was smooth. I had best birthday gift ever :)
