hi there,


unlike other portals from different parts of the world regarding platform to discuss visa status, visa process ,interview etc


unfortunately for Pakistan i hardly find any one who an come forth after or before getting their visa approved to discuss their experiences of interview here at Karachi or Islamabad



i am giving a big shout to every one to please come forward and share your interview experience please

I had the interview today at Islamabad embassy and ALHAMDULILLAH I got approved.

It is a lengthy procedure getting to the shuttle, to embassy and going through the initial counters for submission of original documents like i134, birth certificate etc, then to pay the visa fee. After that I was called in for oath and biometrics and then the interview started. CO asked me around 5 or 6 questions as follows:

Q) How long have you known you fiance?

A) Since 2001, we were online friends

Q) When did you meet him in person?

A) I met him in 2014

Q) When was the last time you met him?

A) That's the only time I met him in person, first and last for 2 weeks in UK.

Q) What's the longest you have ever stayed in UK?

A) Around 4 months

Q) What does your fiance do for a living?

A) I answered that.

Q) Why do you want to marry in the US and not in PK?

A) Frankly because I am very concerned for his security here since he is a Caucasian American. We were leaning a bit toward him coming here but then terrorism started happening in Rawalpindi as well. Some 15 terrorists were captured from the housing society that I am living in. Nowadays you can't even be sure about your neighbours so we have been very reluctant about it.

He said fair enough. Then he said I am approving your visa. You will get it in 2 weeks through American Express.

I said, REALLY? I GOT IT? He said Yes. I said OMG I wish THIS (the glass screen) wasn't in between us, I so would have hugged you. He just laughed and said It was lovely meeting you.

This whole process took about 3 1/2 hours.

Visa in hand: 29th September 2015 (L)

Flights booked: 30th September 2015 (3 stop overs, 30 hours total flight time including lay over :shocked: )

POE: AUH 13th November 2015

Got married: 18th November 2015 (L)

Applied for SSN: 24th November 2015

Received SSN: 30th November 2015

Sent AOS package: 08th February 2016

NOA1 (electronic) received (I-765): 16th February 2016

NOA1 (electronic) received (I-485): 16th February 2016

Biometrics: 11th March 2016

EAD I-765 Approved: 12th April 2016

EAD received: 16th April 2016

Aos Interview (Pittsburgh): 26th May 2016 (Approved)

u are the first one and infactthe last one to reply to my post actually lol

i want to ask u one more thing .could u pleaes tell me when idi u sent your packet 3 to the consulate ?as i have sent it last week.

how long consulate take to book u for interview?

do they call me/email or i have to contact u?

didnt they ask for proof of relationship,tax returns , etccc

I have to say, from all of the K1 Visa process, the interview was the quickest and no hassle at all... I am so feeling over the moon right now. ALHAMDULILLAH
