Hi, my fiance and I are in a bit of a dilema. i hope someone can share some insight . we have already been approved and our status on the NVC website says ready for interview. My fiancé is currently living in the UK where he has overstayed for about 3 years now. We said on the application that he would be doing his interview in Ghana his home country. we didn't put any address on the application that says he's in ghana right now. Will the ghanaian embassy send his medical exam information to him in london as thats the only dress we put on there? or what should we do now? Please share any helpful information.

The NVC may send it to Ghana or they may send it to the country of his address, despite what you said on the application. Do you know your new case number? If it starts with LND, then the file went to London. I don't know the specific letters for Ghana. would that be in Accra? Case number starting with A?? maybe.

First step is to find out your new case number. Then report back.

Make a timeline too so we don't have to guess where you are in the process.

well, no timeline, and after today's post, i gotta say this -

IF you knew the casefile just hit NVC, then it's possible, for a very short time window, to get it re-homed to Accra, Ghana, by calling into NVC and getting it sorted with a supervisor (not the first person that answers the phone). Ya gotta be swift though, as once the casefile leaves NVC, there's no easy way to get it rehomed. There's a HARD way (hard = 3 month turnaround) done with the London IV Unit, but it's almost impossible to get a human there so Congressional 'input' would have been needed once it hit London IV.

Since he was living illegally in the UK, I can understand the problems during the interview, but the time to get it rehomed to Ghana is way past.

What to do now? Suggest to file a new I-129F this week or next.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
