Hi,

To cancel/reschedule any interview you must contact the embassy or consulate that is conducting the interview. Also, I'm seeing that your interview is set for 15th September 2015 so I would not waste time in getting in touch with them!

I suggest you indicate the reason why you need it cancelled/rescheduled; I also suggest rescheduling instead of cancelling it as they may cancel your entire application and you may have to start the entire process all over again with paying new fees, etc.

You are only allowed to reschedule a limited number of times (twice) before the embassy requires a new visa fee, contact the embassy to see if that will be required or if they would waiver the fee being the rescheduling was caused by her needing the TB test and possibly awaiting results...?

Anyway, cancellations of a 3rd appointment may result in you having to pay a new MRV visa fee. I suggest calling the embassy just to be sure.

How about a different approach?

I did my TB testing and this is what happened.

They did the skin TB test and two days later they measured it and I tested positive. "of course I tested positive since I had the TB vaccine as a kid".

They then send me to do the CHEST Xray that same day and a day later my results were ready. A total of 4 days.

Of course each country is different and also there is the financial aspect to consider. Personally I do not believe in postponing if you can control the situation by going to the authorized doctor tomorrow and start the test.

Wish you and yours good luck in the visa process.

Like you said, it's different for each country. For the process at SLEC in the Philippines, the requirement is that all testing and treatment procedures are executed through them. No Exceptions.

So going to your local Doctor for treatment will only delay the process.

I cancelled our appointment thank you. Now I am concerned about our expiration date on NOA2, it is Nov 23. The sputum sample will be 2 months, will they automatically extend our date or is there something I need to do. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Your application will be kept active for 365 days after cancellation, in which they will communicate this to you in writing. After such time, it will be discarded.

Don't worry about the NOA/petition validity, the embassy will extend it automatically. Relax
