How long doew the process take?

Hello visa journey members. I am wondering how long exactly it takes from filing to interview then to finishing the process. I need to file for naturalization as soon as possible but I am pregnant and due in early Feb. If I file in Sept. do you all think I can make it to interview and ceremony before birth? & do they allow you to change dates if life events like that happen? I will be filing in Texas lockbox. There is no such thing as "exact". And yes, you can request a change date with no problem. It took my wife about 10 months from start to finish but she had to take her fingerprints twice which delayed things a month or so and she also had to reschedule due to an emergency back home. So in hindsight it should have taken about 5-6 months or so.

The process for filing and getting an approved n400 is based solely on the center it is sent to. Consideration is given to special cases at times so fingers crossed.

Just a note though, there are parts on the form that asks about children but you will not be able to place any information since you are due in Feb 2016. If you are due to have your baby around the time they schedule you for an interview, then you can request that it be rescheduled....for obvious reasons
