Case Complete! Any Idea When The Interview in Montreal Will Be?

Hey y'all!

My husband's case at the NVC was completed on August 25th, and I was wanting to know when we will possibly hear something about the interview. Going off of the majority of timelines I've seen, it takes 1-2 months for the actual interview to occur. We haven't received an e-mail indicating that our case was completed, but we saw the three N/As, and called to confirm that our case was indeed, completed. Will we be getting an e-mail soon with some details or something in regular mail? We opted for Electronic Processing if it makes a difference. I've read some threads that say that the time of the month when you're approved makes a difference when your case is sent to the Montreal Consulate.

Any input is greatly appreciated!! We're paying ridiculous rent in Edmonton and would like to have a better idea of when we should head to Ontario for the medical and on to Montreal for the interview, especially if we should be expecting something in the mail.

You might get interview either today if you are really really lucky. If not, most probably last week of September for an October interview.

That's how NVC had been operating recently. Don't hold your breath. Just keep doing what you do until you actually get a date.

We also received our letter stating that "all documentation necessary to complete..has been received" on August 25th and are very very anxious to hear when the interview date in Montreal will be.

Is there a squeaky wheel factor involved? Will calling NVC every day have any effect?

I'm not sure if calling will necessarily speed up the process, but I highly doubt that it would add any length to the wait time, so go for it! From what I've seen, pretty much all of the Montreal interviews are scheduled for right around 2 months from the CC date. Since we were given CC on August 25th, I think that we'll find out when our interview is in late September, and I think that our actual interview date will be in late October.

I'll post updates for my husband's case on this thread as well as the thread that Bunny&Ninja linked to.

The only good thing with calling is that they document every time you call. My case was closed July 22nd and I called yesterday, August 27th and heard over the phone my interview for September 28) A few hours later I received email confirmation.

I don't think calling makes a difference but it helped me feel like I was doing something :)

I believe I also have CC as of Sep 4, wondering when they schedule interview in Montreal. It seems like only comparing Canadian cases IR1/CR1 (as every embassy is different)

@alexjtwell & @MonicaCO and anybody else who will interview in Montreal, kindly post in this thread as soon as you find out your interview date.

Hey y'all!

I noticed that another Canadian with a CC of August 27th had received their interview date. Since my CC is August 25th, I decided to call and see if we would have any luck getting an interview. My hands were ice cold when I called, but when the rep said "I have some good news for you...", I felt a rush of blood flow into my hands.

Our interview is scheduled for October 19th at 9am!!!

I sent you a message back with the number. Sometimes, you have to call a TON of times. If you call and immediately hear a man's voice, then hang up and try again. Once you hear the call ring, then you will be able to get through. I had to call about 20 times to get through today. Let me know if you need more info!
