[quote name='Bosco' post='746058' date='Feb 26 2007, 11:31 AM'What is going on with the EAD?

There is some debate and confusion about the ead and the K-1. Someone told us that (I have read this also) that they will give te temporary ead (the one only JFK gives) if you go to the local office. The SS office also says the K-1 is valid to work without the EAD stamp on the 1-94. So we are going for clarification.

Ahhh...feels like home again28_1_14.gif

Not a bad start for a monday morning. How come no one ever talks about all the AOS/Adjustment stuff that we have to go through once the SO arrives? I mean this week alone we drove out to meet the parents, have to go to the civil surgeon, the social security office, the literacy council, and made an info pass at immigration to once and for all try to deal with this EAD nonsense. And all the copies of the papers we have to xerox just to ge tthe packet together for sending in! :help:

ETA: Oh an dfor those with SO's from Morocco, how come no one ever mentioned about getting the Registration card from the Moroccan consulate. Seems you have to have one if you want to renew your passport through NYC. One more little hassle we have to take care of.

do you have to make an appointment with the consulate to get this card?

As peezy said, you can do this by mail with the consulate in NYC. Here is the link...http://www.moroccanconsulate.com/reg.cfm

Finally got my NOA1 for the I129!!!

mabrookulationses on the quitting of the smoking! keep it up. Hey, if it gets too unbearable, just give your doctor a call and get a prescription called in for some nicotene troches. They can call any compounding pharmacy and have them prepared for you. They worked for me. I quit in August and only smoked when we had our temporay houseguest for 3 weeks. Now back to nothing and not had a problem with it! Good luck girls!
