Goodmorning everyone! Hope everyone has a great week. I hate getting up on Mondays. But then again, with my schedule, I don't ever really have a day off, so they all just blend together. Hoping that we will get our NOA2 this week. It seems that my petition is on a slow poke's desk. Off to get the morning wake up jolt.

yep, we're moving after school lets out for the summer and after the house sells. rough predicament though coz I need to put it on the market but don't want strangers trapesing through my house whilst I'm still living here. But don't wanna wait until the last minute because it will take a minimum of 30 days to sell and we have no place to go until May...ugggggggg

outside of that..work today euwww...i was sick last night so we didn't get to have the argeelah andmovie like I planned. I fully plan on a movie night tonight though!!!

Good morning all! It was a big chore dragging myself outta bed this morning. I can tell this is going to be a major coffee day. Good news.....after Khallid got diss'd by Target last week he got a job at a grocery store here in town doing basially everything. I was looking over his handbook yesterday morning and about choked when I saw all the great benefits he has there! I tried explaining to him yesterday how great it is to have all these benefits and he just don't get it since this is something totally new to him. I did have a good time returning all his uniforms to Target Saturday though. Everything worked out for the best! Have a great day everyone!

That's great to hear about Khallid's job, Amy! I hope he likes it!

We went to bed at 9 last night so we got tons of sleep and I'm feeling so happy and rejuvenated. Also, I'm feeling good this morning because I did our taxes and turns out we'll get a refund rather than owe like I had thought!

Yay Monday!

Not a bad start for a monday morning. How come no one ever talks about all the AOS/Adjustment stuff that we have to go through once the SO arrives? I mean this week alone we drove out to meet the parents, have to go to the civil surgeon, the social security office, the literacy council, and made an info pass at immigration to once and for all try to deal with this EAD nonsense. And all the copies of the papers we have to xerox just to ge tthe packet together for sending in! :help:

ETA: Oh an dfor those with SO's from Morocco, how come no one ever mentioned about getting the Registration card from the Moroccan consulate. Seems you have to have one if you want to renew your passport through NYC. One more little hassle we have to take care of.

Oh Monday Monday.... this is my first post in a while because I have been so FRIGGIN' busy at work lately. I'm a sports reporter and it's tournament season - which isn't the easiest when you're 8 1/2 months pregnant! I think they are trying to get my 6 weeks worth of maternity leave pay out of me in the two weeks before I leave.

My cupcake FINALLY received his new type "G" Iraqi passport :D so now he can send it to the embassy in Amman to get the Visa that has been sitting there and ready for issue since January 9th!! GRRRR..... I am scheduled for a C-section on March 12th so we are still hoping and praying he makes it in time to see the birth of his daughter.

Amy - Congrats on Khalid's Job! Things often have a way of working out....he probably would have hated working for a massive globally capitalistic corporation like Target anyway...LOL.

Amal - Good luck on the move! It's always exciting but so much work.

Have a great week everyone!

This has so been a Monday... started yesterday. I made a lovely dinner, got a movie, drove to get Moh from work and he was totally sick with a high fever. He slept all the way home and went straight to bed. I fell asleep on the couch watching Harry Potter and woke up at 10 pm to find him sitting on the bathroom floor. "nuff said. The man is seriously ill. I got him a bucket and sent him back to bed, and then the downstairs neighbors started fighting. To make up, they decided to record and sing wretched kareokee until 4:30 am. Alarm went off at 4:45 and Moh tells me he's going to work. Men. Pfft. I told him he was crazy but he went.... soooooooooooo at 9 am I had to take him back home cuz he ralphed at work and then sent him home. He was burning up when I left to fly back to work because they copped an attitude with me for taking him home. Family first guys, shove the 'ttude. So here I am. Whee.

Amy, congrats on Khallid's job. Those benefits are major gravy, eh?

What is going on with the EAD?

I never talked about AOS because he handled it by himself, aside from one ride I gave him to the civil surgeon. I had no involvement in the paperwork, getting copies or any of it other than the affidavit.

No, you can do it by mail, or at least you used to be able to.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

My husband's not Moroccan, but we had to go through this with the Algerian consulate. My husband's passport will expire this year, so we had to get the Registration card. They needed ORIGINAL certified birth certificates from him AND his father. And they did not accept scanned copies like they did for my visa. They needed the original. So his father had to get them and mail them from Algeria which took three weeks. Then we mailed them off and after a week my husband called to ask where the card was and said that they had recieved his father's but not my husband's - well, they were in the same envelope! Oops! After a week and a half they finally found my husband's. I think we actually recieved the card sometime last week.. but we've been working on this since he arrived in November.

Next he has to register for a military exemption card or something which we just realized he needs another original birth certificate for.....
