K1 POE Questions

Hi Amigos,

I have read the POE reviews for Houston where my fiance's POE will be but I have some questions that maybe somebody who has entered on a K1 can answer [yes , I am paranoid]

1. Can we go through the line together?

2. They usually pass people 1 by 1, do we walk up to the officer together or do I go first and fiance after?

3. Do we have to go through the USC or the non citizens line? I am a citizen but my fiance is not yet of course.

1. You can go through the line together up to the point where your fiance will get pulled into a room and have her documents and visa reviewed by a US Customs Agent.
2. You cannot go at the same officer together, one of you will get one officer and the other will get another officer.

3. I believe both of you will be on the same line since you US citizenship and your fiance has a visa that will lead her to citizenship. This also depends on the POE and their rules.

LOL I had a relative of mine that came into US via immigrant visa. I traveled back with them and our POE was Detroit and the agents were nice, however the people checking the bags were very cocky and just wanted to show that they had power. But yes, my relative was pulled into a room where they took her fingerprints and photo and all that other paperwork stuff they do, I had to wait for him for like 15 minutes
