Hello everyone

After a long, grueling process, we are finally at the interview stage for the Adjustment of Status. We’ll be interviewing Monday in Memphis. I’ve checked, double checked, and triple checked my list (Santa has nothing on me) and I’m pretty sure I have everything we’ll need and more for the interview.

But just to be sure, can some of the experts review my list and confirm yes you’re good or no dummy you forgot this? We do not want to go to fraud interview lol.

The List

Wife (immigrant)’s documents

  • Interview Letter
  • EAD card
  • Passport
  • State ID card
  • SSN card
  • Birth certificate and copy

Husband (me!) documents

  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Copy of BC
  • (No previous divorces or children BC’s to worry about)

Proof of relationship and other docs

  • Marriage certificate (certified version and a copy)
  • HSA joint credit card
    Joint regular credit cards (Showing both our names on same account)
    Letter from bank confirming both of us are users on the joint credit card
  • Joint savings account paperwork showing current balance, recent statement, and paperwork we signed being co-owners
  • Joint lease on apartment
  • Health care cards
  • Health care info
  • Insurance beneficiary info
  • Health care beneficiary info
  • 401K beneficiary info
  • Newspaper article announcing the engagement
  • Newspaper article announcing the wedding
  • Wedding cards
  • Joint federal tax return
  • Joint state tax return
  • IRS transcripts
  • Christmas cards
  • Letters from England on family
  • Paperwork sent to England student loans of me sponsoring my wife
  • K1 copy
  • AOS copy
  • Jewelry receipts for wedding and engagement ring (wife will of course be wearing them too)
  • Photo album with over 125 photos from the engagement Dec 31 2013 to a ballgame from Aug 2015.
  • Honeymoon bill (wedding bills only listed my name, not bringing those)
  • Flight info on wife’s parents visiting America for the first time

Updated info

  • New offer letter (Lost job due to recent oil crisis in May 2015. Got new offer in late June. Details salary
  • Letter of employment from new career from HR
  • Recent pay stubs from old company, severance, signing bonus, new company, etc

Anything else we might should add?

Random CEAC status updated date: 12/27/2013

Readiness of Action form submitted: 3/11/2014 (original medical date of 3/12 delayed...)
Medical in London: 4/16/2014
Packet 4 received: 4/28/2014
Interview date: 5/12/2014 APPROVED!!! 

Enter US:  August 2014

Married:  October 2014

Adjustment of status paperwork sent:  End October 2014

Biometrics:  November 2014

Letter from USCIS telling us backlog, expecting an answer in 6 months:  Feb 2015

Interview with USCIS:  August 2015.  Agent says will be approving

Receive Greencard:  Sep 2015

File for Removing of Conditions:  7/27/17

NOA1 Letter:  Dated 8/1, receive 8/5

There is a lot of proof of marriage, but better safe than sorry. We didn't even take nearmy as half of that and didn't have any issues.

21 Aug 2013: I-129F Sent

11 Feb 2014: Visa APPROVED!

20 May 2014: Wedding!

12 Feb 2015: AOS Interview - Approved

22 Feb 2017: Mailed ROC Packet

08 Aug 2018: ROC Approved
