My petition was approved for expedite processing last Friday and NVC said the consulate should have it within 48 hours of being sent. It was sent to the consulate as soon as the case number was assigned and I was told to submit everything there. I am still waiting for some contact from them, and I submitted out the DS-260 this morning online since it became available recently. Anyone else experience anything similar?

What should I expect and how much longer? What can I do at this point to be prepared for the next step?

I thought the embassy scheduled interviews.

How did you know it arrived at the embassy? Who did you contact -- the embassy or NVC?

Did you provide all the documents and fees to NVC or were told to do that the embassy stage?

I tracked it here https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspxand it said "ready" and I only paid the AOS fee and did the DS261 at NVC they said everything else will be done at the embassy. I thought the embassy would be able to give me a date but this was their response " An interview date has not yet been assigned to this case. Please await further information and instructions from NVC."

Mine still says "in transit", I've been checking daily. But it's even more odd because mine says "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

I paid only the AOS fees and the DS261 at the NVC level as well.

But my DS-260 became available while "in transit", so I submitted that today. Have you done that or no?

And have you put together your packages yet? Are we supposed to bring those to the interview or what?

I don't see an option to submit online but my CEAC summary says: "After submitting the DS-260, provide all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) for each applicant to your Consulate or U.S. Embassy."

mine says "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html"

I finished the DS260 yesterday and submitted it. Now I am just anxiously waiting on the interview date.

I'm working on that now as well:

Questions--

1. For the supporting documents, the last item on the cover sheet says "photocopies" -- is that simply indicating I need to include a photocopy of all the above required items?

2. Under financial documents, under "proof of relationship"-- do they mean marriage certificate, pictures, etc? I don't see how that falls under financial and since we already submitted that with original i-130 petition... or things like a joint bank account (which we also already submitted).

Well since we will now be working directly with the embassy just take all the original documents, but if you wanna be on the safe side you can take photocopies as well that's what i am doing, ensure you have your marriage certificate, and pics, call logs etc. The reason they ask for proof again is because alot of the times documents get missing between USCIS and NVC and along the way to the embassy also
