Since my interview is coming this september 9,i wanted to get an embassy letter so i can send all the needed documents to CID Singapore police force to request for COC.But then after a long day travelling, the staff from window 38 said they are not issuing for embassy letter anymore but instead to wait until interview is done.I insisted that i read that i can obtain the emabassy letter as long as i already have my MNL number and scheduled the interview. But i got no luck:(...Is this true guys?Anyone could help me what to do next? Thanks:(

Did you go to Window 38 at the US embassy in Manila and ask for the consulate letter requesting the PC if not, then email: IVMANILAREPLIES@STATE.GOV

***Request for the consulate to issue a letter officially requesting the Singapore Police Force to release a COC or certificate of Clearance. Make sure that the letter states that "A STATUTE OF DECLARATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The US embassy can send this to you by Mail or by email

They just blew you off. Damn I hate when someone is not being helpful. It's not like this document is not asked for by others. If you live in Manila then I would say go back and be confident and if you get the same answer then ask for a supervisor. They have the letter and it should be given to you. If you don't live in Manila then use the email process I outlined earlier.

If you don't get the COC in time for the interview you will be delayed (221(g)) and not approved till such time as they receive the COC from Singapore.

Please return back here and update us on your findings. We would like to know the final outcome. This is how we learn to advise others. Thanks

I'm glad things are coming together for you. It just bugs me when someone doesn't do the simplest thing in their job description "Get the customer what they need". :ranting:But, they have to blow you off and not do their job. If it were me, and if you have his name, I would report him. I have been in customer service for years, too many to count, and I always did my job and connected the customer so in the final outcome they got the answer to resolve their problem. Either I took the responsibility or I found someone who could help them.

:ot2: I'm glad the email address worked for you and you got the document you needed.
