hi.i have a Filipina friend who works in south korea and got married there to a US army man (who's stationed there).she has 3 kids in the philippines.they already filed for a CR-1 visa and her kids were included in it but they dont have plans yet of bringing the kids here in the US once they are approved.my question now is, during her upcoming interview, do the kids need to be there during the interview?and her husband hasnt met them yet and they dont even know him .does he need to prove anything or whatsoever that he's in good terms with the kids.i really wanted to help her..

thanks in advance.

it depends on the age of the kids - unfortunately I do not know the precise age .

concerning your second question : your friend and husband must demonstrate they have a relationship which will last - so advise her to bring as much evidence as they can :

- correspondance

- cell phone calls

- family photos

The immigrantion officer might see the case as suspicious and requiring further investigation ( = delays) if your friend husband does not know and has not seen his future kids .
