I-134 supporting documentation

Hi,

How much information is required for the supporting documentation for the I-134? Is the petitioner's 2014 Income Tax return and W2 sufficient or do I also need to include the 2013 papers also?

Are any other documents required? The petitioner's employer doesn't issue letters of employment.

Required is a weird vague word when it comes to the consulates, and the consulate officers.

Recently, MTL has been taking just tax returns. Generally you want at the MINIMUM 2014 tax return with W2 or 2014 tax return transcript. You do not need 2013, but you will for AOSing.

But just because they've only been asking for that recently doesn't mean that they won't ask for paystubs and an employer letter.

If you want to play it bare minimum, go with tax return and W2, if you want to be 100% safe, go with tax return and W2 or tax transcript, AND INCLUDE two paystubs and employer letter.
If you are claiming to have any assets, then you'll also need to show bank statements for the assets.


As for not issuing a letter of employment, that's a bit odd. Is there any reason to it? It's a simple letter.


For me, my mother is co-sponsoring. She'll be sending her 2014 tax return and W2, along with two paystubs and employer letter.

We'd rather be safe than sorry, AP for montreal is -really- bad, they take almost the entire 8 weeks if not more.

There are people who have been hung up since May of this year that only were missing one paper, they turned in the paper a week after their interview and are still waiting and having their congressmen involved, we don't want to end up like them.

I have 3 paystubs, a letter from my employer, A letter signed from a bank manager stating total deposits made last year and year-to-date, along with current balance. I have tax return transcripts and w-2 for 2014, 2013 and 2012. I also have a letter stating i have life insurance. Sounds like over kill but better safe then sorry. I read somewhere (dont remember where) that they only really look at the supporting documents if you are near or under the 125% poverty line. U can see what documents help and what needs to be on them on the instruction portion of the i-134

At my interview she asked for 2014 tax info and recent pay stubs.
