Cancel and re-schedule interview appointment

It was necessary to cancel the appointment my fiance had scheduled because there was a problem getting the St. Luke's physical scheduled in so short a time. She did not realize it has to be within 7 to 10 days of interview.

At any rate, when she cancelled and went back in to reschedule almost immediately, using the receipt number from her visa payment, it shows "no payment".

We know the payment was made because she has the receipt and she had used the receipt number before to schedule the interview the first time. That was successful.

I'm guessing it was too short a time between cancelling and trying to reschedule and the system showed the payment had already been used.

Help, please!

Thanks,

Jim

Please help! I really need to know how to proceed. The receipt expires on Aug. 31.

Is there a chance this means no payment is required since it is a reschedule attempt?

Thanks,

Jim

the receipt expires aug 31 meaning you have to pay before then or print a new slip, payments are good 1 year from deposit

if anything call the hotline and they'll clear it up

Is there a specific number that is easier to reach? She tried yesterday and the number she called just rang with no answer.

Can a new receipt with a later expiration date be downloaded from the original place where the visa was paid? When she tries to input the original receipt number to re-schedule it shows "invalid number".

I'm not sure if she had to reschedule from the cancel appointment window or can just go to the site and make a new appointment. The second option is not working and the original appointment is cancelled.

Thanks for your help!

While at USEM's website, an online chat was offered. I chose this option and after about 20 minutes of sharing information such as case number and passport numbers, the representative escalated our case and said he will email information to my fiancé. She got an email asking for information as provided before. So we are now awaiting instructions to proceed.

I'm glad things are moving along for you.

Update: After contacting a Senator from my state, her assistant wrote back that the challenges like we had have been resolved. Apparently others have had the same challenge when trying to re-schedule appointments.

So today when she tried to set up an appointment for herself her receipt number for payment was accepted, but the receipt number for her daughter showed "No valid record". That's the message returned when trying to set up appointment for her daughter? I know both need to have evidence that an interview appointment has been set to use at St. Luke's. I suggested she call the Embassy but the number just rings and rings and nobody answers. If I ask my senator again, It will be weeks for an answer...

What do you suggest she do now??

Thanks for your help.

Your visa payment is good for A YEAR. The date on the receipt was an expiration date for paying at BPI only.

You should be able to reschedule online easy enough, as the receipt is on record.

Actually, she has not been able to pay online using the receipt number from her payment at Bank of the Philippines. Until a couple of days ago it worked. However, the receipt number for her daughter is still not working and she needs to schedule appointments for both on the same day.

Yesterday, she was able to reach the USEM using one of the local numbers. She was told the processing of her daughter's payment is still in process... which is simply unbelievable!

I'm so sick of the problems with Manila U.S. Embassy. I've already requested help from my U.S. Senator--for the third time! The second time my fiance was given the link to set up an appointment because all had been fixed--according to the email to the Senator's office. It has NOT been fixed since the receipt for her daughter shows "no record"....

I await the third reply from the Embassy to my Senator's inquiry--but I won't hold my breath!

If just recently paid then it takes a day or two (can't count weekends or holidays) for the paid to show up.

You paid each visa fee separately?

Yes, paid each visa fee separately--I'm not aware of being able to make one payment for primary and derivative beneficiaries.

The payments were made a month ago on approximately August 25!

You are not to make both visa payments together, which is why I mentioned it, just to make sure that didn't happen.

No easy answer for you on why the derivative payment is not showing up.

Both visa fees were paid August 15! What is wrong with USEM? I can't believe this.. I'll mention this to my senator's secretary tomorrow...

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the way this has been messed up so badly! All paperwork has been done according to the instructions. Application was approved in February. We had a few delays due to birth certificate issues, but that is all resolved.

I'm very disappointed and it's impossible to explain this to my fiancé....
