How long does it take for getting a case number from NVC

We have got our NOA2 on July 17th. However, we still did not get any news from NVC for the case number.

I wonder how long does it take to get the case number from NVC? Is it normal for almost a month and a half but still does not hear from NVC for anything about our case????

We have tried to email them but there is no response at all.

Please help!

You should just go ahead and call NVC to get your Case # and Invoice #. You'll probably have to dial 10-20 times to get through though and be sure to call when you have an hour or two because you'll be on hold for a while.

It takes months for them to reply to e-mails.

Need to know when USCIS sent your approved petition to NVC. Can you confirm they did and when?

It normally takes about 7 days from when USCIS sends the approved petition to NVC for them to receive it.

I thought I saw where for a K1 visa the case number was assigned pretty quickly after receipt.

Once you determine item 1, you can call the NVC and sort it out.

From what I understand the NVC does not respond to emails. You need to call them at 603-334-0700. You will need to call them about 20 times before you get sent through to the hold area. They always say there is a 20 minute wait. I usually waited 40 to 60 minutes so make sure your phone is charged. We got our NOA2 on July 29th and I called on August 24th and got our case number. So try calling. Also, if a man answers immediately just hang up because you did not get through. He will talk a minute then hang up. If you get another ring tone then you got through. Good Luck!

It only says our case is approved on the website and there is no information saying our petition has been mailed out to NVC. Is there any place I can look into it to see whether its been mailed out or not?

We are also waiting for out case number noa2 is july 21, weve been calling them everyday but they just keep saying they havent received our case yet..

I wonder whether NVC would Email us once they assign the case number and forward to the local consulate or any sort of notification to update us with the status of the case?
