We've both decided that it be easier for us currently to start a life together in her country vs starting a life in Long Island, NY. So I'm planning on spending the rest of this year back home with the family enjoy the hollidays then come back to Aruba at the start of next year then we go from there. You say your waiting for your NOA2 as well how long?

That's fine to do that but while you do that, do not try to cancel anything you've already done for the visa. I told my husband before we got married that if he has to leave the US then I will wait with him in his country, even if it takes the whole 10 years! And if you know anything about the history of Bosnia all the way back to the Ottoman Empire times to the present, you'd know how interesting of a situation I'm in. Lol... I only came back to the US to file the I-130 though. Not only do we have to wait for the normal stuff everyone else has to wait for, we'll also have to wait for the I-212 and/or I-601 and we're not even close to that process! I'm expecting this whole thing to take at least 1 or 2 years. We got routed to the CSC and I've been looking at other people's timelines from both countries and I'm expecting 5 months (hoping only 2 haha). But I only received my NOA1 last month. BUT I have the AOS prepared and I'm currently in the middle of preparing the 212 and 601 just in case so I can have easy access and less things to worry about. :)

The point is, regardless of processing times, you should spend the waiting time together. Get together everything you might need for the next step and then move on with life. Worry, anger, and tears change nothing. Just focus on the present. I'm sure there are more people waiting from January. I even saw people making posts in January saying they were waiting since June! That sounds like your situation. Just because people aren't public posting, doesn't mean they're not quietly observing. :) I almost wasn't going to post stuff either but I had questions and also saw your dilemma :D

I see your situation isn't exactly ideal either best of luck to you guys. I'd stay but I have some issues back home I have to deal with currently before I settle here. My grandma having skin cancer and going through chemo currently (not sure how long she may be around), and some financial things I have to take care of, my fiancee has clothes, shoes, and other things I have to bring back. So I figure I stay the rest of this remaining year take care of what I need to take care of, spend hollidays with my family, then come back sometime in January near new years. Since i've been here 6 months they say earliest I can come back is January. Then when I come back ill get married here and start the process of living here. Bosnia is tough i remember reading articles about their situation as a kid in school. Wow 2 years damn. Once i come back in january I have a feeling I'm going to be in Aruba for a long time before I'm able to come back to the states to even visit. Hope it all works out for you guys best of luck again.

Will they at least let you get a long term visa when you return? Is it even an option in Aruba? lol

Yeah that's a good idea to take care of everything. Less to worry about later. Maybe it would have been better for you both if you got married first and then just sent the I-130. It probably wouldn't have changed your process location but it just seems like the processing times are better for them. Oh well. Just wait together for the NOA2! Maybe while you're in the US it will show up! :D

Lol that's funny you mention as a kid cause they barely talked about Bosnia when I was in school! They talked about the Ottoman Empire but NOTHING that I know now. And when they did mention Bosnia, they left out the whole "cause and effect"/"why" information and generalized it all with the Holocaust and Bosnian War. Not cool, not cool. Thank God we have brains to use that allow us to put in effort to find information ourselves! ^_^

Anyway, thanks for the kind words! I hope things speed up for you! I also hope your grandma's chemo helps her. Keep me updated and don't give up!

Lol yup i saw that and still have heard nothing! As i said before we're the only ones from the january filers forum to have heard jack squat. I knew something was up they skipped right over us. Maybe they used our application to kill a few flies or mosquitos and accidentally threw it out who knows. I submitted an inquiry and it went through last time i did so a couple of weeks ago i was denied saying i cant submit my inquiry since my case is going through normal processing times lol. Now that theyve completely skipped over me now they allow for me to submit inquiry about my case. Saying i should here back by October 7th LOL. I even called the TSC which i knew would be a complete waste of time and all they could do for me is submit an inquiry which i already did. He was like if we submit a 2nd one we wont here nothing back for 30 days so in that case we cant do nothing for you such bs. I said any reason why were forgotten and skipped over and he said could be a number of reasons but idk i dont have the authorization. I kept calm because my fiance was right next to me, but im going home in a few days where i can call normally and not have to buy a phone card and waste 20 minutes of it either going through the automated system or being put on hold then only having about 5 minutes to speak. This whole process is such Bs! I thought by 2nd week of August tops i'd get approval and it seemed very likely as that looked to be the trend for january filers. But now we are getting close to October I had hoped to have her in the states by Christmas that is not possible at all. Were moving on going to Plan B now im gonna sit down with the family back home and let them know im moving out of the states to Aruba to be with my soon to be wife. Wasn't what i had planned but its the card ive been dealt. They pretty much know i have thoughts of doing it. I cant wait to call TSC and tell them that they can go F$&k themselves and to take my application which is probably covered in dust and fly guts to shove it up their ###.

Wow that's crazy! They probably thought the packet was too good and had to set it aside cause they couldn't handle the awesomeness. xD

Are you saying you're going to try to cancel the process?

Why would you do that if you can just let it happen while you are living in Aruba?

Hey hows it going I've been back in the states now for almost 2 weeks and still have heard nothing. Its now October the year is almost over and i filed this thing in January this is crazy! I spoke to uscis the other day and the tier 2 officer says to me someone has been assigned to my case you should here back by tmrw being september 30th. So tmrw comes and its around 6pm and still no email or nothing so i called back before closing hrs at 6 and asked for a tier 2 officer ( because they say they are the ones to talk to, but personally i think they are all full of and are useless) i said to her well i still have heard nothing on my case i was told id hear today whats going on?? She says you should hear something either maybe later or possibly by Friday. I reply oh ok so in the meantime my case will continue to collect dust and be used as a fly swatter in the office.. She paused for a moment then said anything else i can do for you. I said nope thanks and hungup. We've already decided to move on to her country. That being so if i want to get married there and set things up there i have to eventually cancell this application. They said i could do so by mail. With it taking this long i dont imagine anything good coming out of it anyway when they get back to me about my case. I bought my return flight back to aruba already as well. How things on your end?

Why do you have to cancel it? Maybe after you get married, you can eventually try again but for the IR-1! :) maybe try that thing people do and get a senator involved or something before giving up, just for one last try :D

I plan to live in my husband's country as long as I need to with him. But we're still going to do this visa stuff there. I put our foreign address so we will receive everything!

And things have been going good for us, but I didn't want to tell you here because I feel bad for you so I thought I'd celebrate silently >_< The petition was approved September 15. I seriously think it's the Texas Service Center screwing you over because the CSC has been fast. They're just slow about sending stuff to NVC. It's been 16 days so far and I gotta wait another 15 (HOPEFULLY) for them to hopefully receive it and then (HOPEFULLY) another 30 for a case number but I've seen that NVC is really slooooooow. If I was the president or someone important like a Queen, I'd tell them to hurry your case up!! :D even if I wasn't the Queen of the same country you're from, I'd still try.

So since we last spoke i called back and the woman goes you were misinformed they dont have to respond back to you until October 16th since you submitted the inquiry sept 15th they have 30 days to respond. Then i called back again got a tier 2 officer on the phone and was like what is the deal im being told sept 30th, october 7th, and now october 16th! He says the woman is right they have 30 days to respond so hang tight. I said what about the fact they said an officer is working on my case and i should hear receive an email Sept 30 on their decision. He replies for one an officer has not been assigned to your case that is incorrect, then he replies sept 30 is their target date to get back to you. I said now this response back to me what should i expect? I shouldnt expect approval or dissaproval right? He says that is correct you wont be getting an approval or dissaproval just what is currently going on with your case (which i can find out for myself when i call uscis and punch in my receipt number!). I said so they have an october 16th deadline huh? He says yes they have to respond back by october 16th. I then say have they ever gone past that deadline? He replies yes. Lol. I then sarcastically say what do i once they go past the deadline and he says oh just submit another inquiry. Then they have once again another 30 days to respond. Whole thing is a complete joke. They trying to discourage us from being together and it aint gonna work.

Then i called today and got a tier 2 officer on the phone told him everything i told you, and he says an officer has been assigned to your case and you should hear something by the end of the month. I said i dont believe that because i was told that before then i was told by a tier 2 officer that was not true and no one is working on my case. I said i jus got back from being in her country for 6 months! She was with me this time last yr living in the states for 2 months, then she was with me also from april to june of last yr too. I brought my family to aruba to visit hers for the first time last december and they wouldnt let her board the plane back with me because she didnt have a returning flight back to aruba. I feel that you guys believe we are a sham couple and i was trying to sneak her in the country! Meanwhile you got people whove applied for k-1 and have never met each other! Ive been with her for over 2 yrs and have known her for over 5 yrs! I have video of me proposing to her dec of 13' almost 2 yrs ago! He then responded you plan on marrying her? I said yes id like to if i can ever get her here. He then asked for my email and gave me a reference number and said im gonna try and get this expedited. That an officer has been assigned to my case since sept and i should get a decision within 48 hrs. I said ok thanks. I dont believe it at all i wish i could but dont. As i said to him this is a carousel that jus keeps spinning around with no sign of stopping.

Hm he does sound like he might have a heart for asking such an odd question. Isn't it common sense you want to get married? Maybe he's making sure you're super serious/sure of what you want. Then decided he believed you and need expedite treatment Lol welllllllllllllll I guess we'll see what happens in 48 hrs. Hopefully he actually accomplishes something! That is crazy that some people get approved easily but you two are just sitting there with nothing. :(

Hopeful that something happens that is good in 48 hrs lol :D

Also, thank you. I hope things go well for me too >_< October 15 is about when I'm hoping they'll receive my case. NVC is saying 30-33 says and USCIS says it can take 90 days! It seems like 30 days for a lot of people though (from CSC, at least). I just want to see an update on MyUSCIS or for them to tell me the NVC received it! I'm considering calling right now lol

I got a message the next morning saying sorry cant expedite your case you dont fall under following requirements below for expedition. That officer said someone is working on my case and i should get a decision by the end of the month. I dont believe it at all because the last tier 2 officer i spoke to said that is not true no one is working on my case at all he can see that no one is working on it. Im getting smoke blown up my ### from everyone. Today is now 9 months since they received my case and i got a receipt number. They are in no rush at all, which is ok because im leaving anyway theyre not going to stop us from being with each other.

What is the latest with you guys?

Why didn't the guy who said no one is working on it, work on it himself? Lol or personally call someone himself?! That's so silly. Nothing is new for us, the 30 days is almost up.
