Hello there my dearest love birds :luv:(L)

I have one very important question to ask you.

Moreover, my and my fiance have filed our paperwork to the Texas service center at the beginning of the January of this year. January 15th of 2015, we have received our NOA1. First on the e-mail and then in the hard-copy version. We are STILL waiting on NOA2 :( it's been almost 8 months now, and nothing is happening. No one has ever contacted us, and on the USCIS official webpage it still states how our case has been received in the January of 2015 and how we should follow some instructions, blahblah..

After 5 months of waiting (June of 2015), my fiance (who is a US citizen) had contacted the office of his state's congressman and his secretary had told us how people in the Texas Service center are still pending background checks relating our case. THEN, we have asked the secretary again exactly the same question regarding our case, and 2 months afterwards (beginning of the August of 2015), she had told us how our case is STILL undergoing background checks. However, she has also mentioned how Texas Service center is still experiencing the backlog in I-129F cases, and how they are currently processing cases received in the November of 2014!!!!! :crying::ranting:

However, I have seen so many cases here from the January of 2015 that were going through the Texas Service center and they have received their NOA2. How come that we are still on the wait list?! Is there anyone out there who is in the same boat as we are? Neither of us was ever married before, I have finished both high school and the college in the states, he is both very hard-working and an amazingly nice guy who never had any troubles with the law.. Why is this happening to us?

Also, we have already booked our venue, I have paid tons of money on my wedding dress, we have paid for a photographer, my family had already bought their airplane tickets... so many things we have paid so far for our wedding that should be held the 28th of November of this year, and still N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!!

I just don't understand what is happening.. I'm getting so depressed ever single day more and more. The hell with the money, I just really want to be with him! Ever since my father had passed away, he was always the one who was waiting for me, who was comforting me and making me happy.. He filled out that hole.. I really need him, and he needs me. I just can't wait for us to start living our lives together.. Is that to much to ask for?

Anyways, I'm sorry guys, I'm just super emotional right now. Any response from you would mean a world to me! I hope that your cases are going through easily and fast enough haha :D I guess I will continue to sit at home at wait on our NOA2 :clock:

Hi,

I know how you feel, we received our NOA1 on January 26th....... At the beginning of August we were transferred to Vermont Service Centre and the letter we received said it was to speed up processing.....????

When you see other couples either side of you being approved it's really hard but I guess we have to try to not look at others cases!

I am now not expecting to be with Daniel until next year which will be over a year since I last saw him :(

Try to stay calm and just get prepared for the next step, then at least you can speed up that part so you are together in time for your wedding.

I wish you the best of luck with your journey.

From another future Vermonter ;)

Hello there :)

Did they have transferred your case to Vermont or you have somehow asked them to transfer it??

I am already collecting everything, but I'm so scared.. I just have feeling like something is going to happen. It's awful.

Haha, I can't believe that you also going to leave in Vermont :) It is a lovely place, I love it <3

So sorry but you should not have planned the wedding without the visa in hand

my case went from missourr to nebraska for fasting processing and still took another 7 months

i hope you have better success / I had gotten note with it saying if i didn't hear in 60 days send an inquiry but when i did, they didn't know where the case was at MCS initials were on it for Missouri and not Nebraska

but in all honesty, you can not make plans until you go thru the entire process including the interview

you can not even assume you will be approved / many go into AP

sorry but it happens

wait for the visa

I see no reason why our visa shouldn't get approved?

I met him in a legal way, we fell in love with each other and were obeying rules ever since he had proposed to me. If it's illegal to love someone who is not from your country then perhaps that is the only reason why my visa won't get approved lol

We were logically thinking how 10 months should be more than enough for them to process our paperwork, since we are both clean and still young. Of course that we have started to plan our wedding, every bride starts to at least make some arrangements about her wedding. I just didn't think that we would be the last ones to receive this notice.

The chance u get rejected is very very small. But Planning ur wedding was indeed not very smart to do. Nobody can tell you how long your process will take, for some it takes 4/5 months for other people it takes 12 to 15 months. I really hope you can get refunded on ur venue in case u don't get it in time.

And don't forget, most of us womans/brides to be want to plan their wedding asap. It's an exiting thing to do, but you have to stay true to yourself when ur in this situation. U don't know when u will be their (or him). In our case we do a small wedding (just signing papers) when i get their and then we will do the big wedding in spring of 2017. In the meantime I allready look up themes for the wedding and so on. So u can keep planning a wedding, just don't book anything that you can't get refunded or is stuck to a date.

Hi,

We didn't ask to be transferred, we just were..... very strange as seems that there is very few being processed there and it has been there for almost a month now with no word (considering our case has now been in the USCIS systems for 7 Months we would hope it would be near the top of the pile).

Vermont is beautiful, I can't wait to get back!

I see you received your NOA2 after your post yesterday - CONGRATULATIONS!!

We got our NOA2 just the other day so thank you all for a support.

Essiej, there is a reason why our wedding is on that specific day. It's not that I just want to get married and have a beautiful big wedding when so many things are still pending. His mother has cancer and my father had passed away, and that day means something to me. We really want to have a nice intimate wedding with his and mine family on that day, which doesn't just include signing papers. I know that we took a giant risk by already setting a date, but I definitely wasn't just purely excited and wanted to throw away money in the air. Again, I will repeat myself, I just couldn't understand why were we still waiting on NOA2 when I have seen a lot of couples already receiving it. By posting my question on this forum, I wanted to find out whether there were more January filers who didn't receive their NOA2, and that was it.

Hello everyone, unfortunately I'm still one of those January TSC filers waiting for their NOA2. My case was received Jan. 15th 2015. I've been following the Jan. TSC filers forum I've watched everyone of them get approved (before and after me) since Jan. except me. I've posted things on the forum over there and literally no one responds, so they can all go screw themselves over there. I've been staying with my fiance over in Aruba (where she lives) for almost 6 months now. I go back Sept. 20th. I've gone on the USCIS website everyday and it says the same thing over and over CASE RECEIVED whoopdy f#%king dooo! I've had congressman call about my case they say all I can do is wait in line like everyone else. I called myself a few weeks ago to inquire about my case all which was a complete waste of time bought a phone card waited on hold for a half hour and the receptionist just reads word for word from the USCIS website screen. Well sir according to the USCIS website we are only processing cases in November now.. Ok then can you explain why I see on certain websites why people in January like myself are getting approved all around me. She says those reports must be incorrect and misleading. So full of ####### I said thanks for wasting my time click. I'm done my case is sitting on someone's desk collecting dust at the bottom of a pile while people applying after me are getting approved left and right. I don't get it me and her have never been in trouble with the law. We have clean backgrounds never overstayed our passports when visiting each other. She lives in F#%cking Aruba!! As if she only with me to escape some hardship in their eyes... She's fine being in Aruba she got a good job has her own place she only coming to the states to be with me and she willing to leave everything behind. We've done everything the right way and we still get screwed. When i go back to the U.S. Sept. 20th and if I don't hear a peep even as much as an RFE that'll mean it'll be over 8 months close to 9 and I'll be f$#cking done with all this #######. I brought my family to visit her family in Aruba last December because I wanted them to meet each other before we marry. My fiancee was staying with me in NY for 2 months prior to us leaving for Aruba for 2 week visit. She also stayed with me from April 1st to june 3rd earlier that year. They see she didnt have a return flight back to Aruba and not only would they not let her fly back with me but she is restricted from coming to the U.S. until she gets the Visa. She didnt get a return flight back to aruba because of a situation with her son she was going to have to fly back to Aruba in a few weeks but wanted to know the exact date first. Anyways as I said I'm done with all this we're both fed up and feel our life is on hold. I have to go back in 3 weeks and cant come back until at least the start of next year since i'll have been here for 6 months( if you stay for 6 months you can't return for at least 3 months), and she can't visit me. We are already saying f$&ck you to the visa thing and our dream of starting a life together in the states.

I'm preparing to spend a few months at home with my ailing grandmother who is going through chemo. During my time home the rest of 2015 if no word or we get denied then i will prepare for life outside the US beginning the start of next year.

Hello, I just came across this thread and saw your post...I hope you haven't given up yet and I hope you don't whenever September 20th hits! I'm kind of wondering how you expected this process to go...Did you take into consideration how many people apply for visas? Did you take into consideration the other stuff these facilities may have to take care of? Did you go to the actual USCIS website and look at the possible processing times? If not, I will gladly link the site for the Texas Service Center processing times! Here you go! They explain everything on the site. If the link doesn't work, just google USCIS Texas processing times or something.

See? They are on December 21, 2014. On the bottom it says "last updated August 31st". :)

How would giving up reeeeally help? Maybe ask for a visa to stay in her country for a while (that's what I'm doing). Then you have all the paperwork ready for when they send you the NOA2 -AND- you get to wait together (yaaaay!). I realize 100% how you feel but canceling the process does not make ANY logical sense and please do NOT let your emotions screw everything up for you two. Buy yourselves 2 tablets of some sort and Skype while you're away and prepare for your next trip. Send each other cute letters and pictures about silly stuff you see. I DON'T KNOW. Just BREATHEEEEEEEE. ? The original OP happened to get her NOA2 around this time, you could be next. What if you gave up and they were just about to send your NOA2???? You don't know. You'd be kicking yourself in the butt if that happened, wouldn't you?

Be happy you can still go see her even if it's for a few months. Some people barely even get to do that or have to deal with deportations of their spouses. Some people barely have any money to do this process! There are all types of visas and situations. We can't expect them to only focus on I-130s or k1 visas. Look at everything they have to deal with on that page. Yeah, maybe some of them are grumpy or lazy, but they could also just be SUPER busy.

Research a way to possibly get yourself a long term visa (maybe a year, then renewal) for Aruba. If you can't, don't give up! Just find ways to talk as much as possible until you return! ?

I hope you get your NOA2 soon and I hope everything works out for you and anyone else in this wacky process. I'm also waiting for the NOA2 from a different center but I only just started! ._. Haha

Hello Mrs. Awakened and thank you for replying to my post. Still no word on NOA2 everytime i log in it says case received. I'm fully aware that the USCIS website states that they are currently working on Dec 21, 2014 cases, but why am I seeing literally everyone on the Jan 2015 filer board either get approved or received an RFE by now. I'm literally the only one on that board who hasn't heard jack squat still. I'm starting to think that they have come across my fiances restriction by ESTA. Back in December we went to Aruba together along with my family to go visit her family for a week. Upon going back to the US she was coming back with me, but US customs noticed she did not have a returning flight back to Aruba, so it drew red flags next thing you know they hold us for 4 hrs and interrogate both of us as if were terrorists or something. They would not let either of us board the plane and they told her she is restricted from travel to the US unless she gets a Visa. I ended up flying out a couple of days later. Few months later here we are I've been here almost 6 months and I leave in less than 2 weeks. We've both decided that it be easier for us currently to start a life together in her country vs starting a life in Long Island, NY. So I'm planning on spending the rest of this year back home with the family enjoy the hollidays then come back to Aruba at the start of next year then we go from there. You say your waiting for your NOA2 as well how long?
