I'm helping a family member to fill out forms for a spouse visa. He is a U.S. Citizen. I was looking at the USCIS site and it states to fill out the following forms:

- i-130

- i-485

- G-325a (one for him and one for her)

- G-1145 (optional)

I was looking through the guides on visajourney and it did not state i-485 so I'm a little confused, Do I enter his wife's information in i-485 form?

Is his spouse in the US? If she is not in the US, you do not need the I-485.

08/06/2016: Completed DS-261/Paid AOS Bill

10/11/2016: Paid IV fee bill

10/14/2016: Submitted DS-260

visa? no I-485 needed.

Is his wife in The USA now. If she is, she will not be getting a visa, but she will be adjusting status to permanent residence. a spousal visa is to bring foreign spouse to USA

If his wife is not in the USA yet then he will fill out the I-130 and he G-325a forms and the G-1145. He will not fill out the I 485 form

If she is already in the USA then he will fill out the I-485 form and G-325a form but not the I-130 form here is links with instructions for both
