Hello,

I will like your feedback to some of my questions.

I am using the information provided here (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/212749-from-tn-status-to-green-card/) to prepare my application.

However, in the AOS package: I-130 Petition for Alien Relative

Is it okay for one to use copy or certified copy of the following?

1. My birth certificate
2. Wife’s passport, in full
3. G-325a Biographic information for wife
4. G-325a Biographic information for me
5. Evidence of bonafide marriage (marriage cert, joint bank account, lease, car loan etc)

For 1, 2 and 5, use copy.

3 and 4 should be signed in ink by corresponding persons, so copies are not accepted.

Hello All,

I am currently on TN-1 status here in US., recently I married a U.S.CITIZEN and intend to apply for change of status soon.

However, in one of the forms in my package, there is form 1-765.

This form allows one to apply for Employment Authorization.

There is a section 16 Eligibility Category.

Considering my status as I stated above, what category do I fall under?

Thanks for your input.

Hello,

I am applying for Adjustment of Status while using this guide.

I have concluded that I need to pay application fee of $1490 in total.

Can anyone tell me which method is best to use - money order, personal check, cashier check etc.

Who should I address this check to? For example in Canada we issue checks to "Receiver General" for all government checks.

Lastly, who should I address my AOS package envelope to, that is, the first line before:

USCIS Chicago Family Based Immigration Processing Center

USCIS, P.O. Box 804625,

Chicago, IL

60680-4107

Thanks for your input.

Address the check to: U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Either is fine, but I think personal check is better because that way you'll know when the check has been cashed etc. Also, be sure to follow these instructions carefully: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/paying-immigration-fees

It's really not necessary to address the envelope to anyone.

Hello Folks,

I am a Canadian on the second year of a 3-year Tn visa working in the U.S.

Usually, I go to work in U.S. on Monday morning and come home to Canada on Fridays.

About a year ago, met a lovely lady at work, and we got married about a month ago.

I am attempting to change my status by filling I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 together.

Questions:

1) Is the guide found here (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/212749-from-tn-status-to-green-card/) still reliable noting that it has been posted over 5 years ago?

2) While completing I-131, I checked the Multiple Entry box. Can one I-131 Advance Parole approval be used for multiple weekly entries. like I used to do before?

Hello All,

I am currently on TN-1 status here in US., recently I married a U.S.CITIZEN and intend to apply for change of status soon.

I am currently completing form I-864A.

I currently live with my new wife and our minor children.

I guess I am confused about, categories Sponsor (my wife?), Intended Immigrant (me) and Household Member(?). Not sure the last category as we only have minor children.

Can my wife be both Sponsor and Household Member?

Thanks

Hello All, as part of my application Adjustment of Status from TN -visa, I have submitted my form I-485 as follows:

2) I-485 Adjustment of Status, in addition to this, I added:
1. Copy of my passport bio page
2. Copy of my I-94 front and back
3. Copy of my birth certificate
4. Copy of marriage cert
5. 2 passport photos of me
6. Another G-325a (including 2 passport photos)
7. I-693 (Medical Exam)
8. I-864
1. i. Wife’s 2014 Tax return and W2

However, during the paper shuffle, I missed a sending a page 2 of the I-485. Therefore, I got a letter from USCIS saying:

"You submitted form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjustment Status, it is missing page 2. Please submit a completed 1-485.

My question, while I am re-sending the the newly completed 1-485, should I add again all the supporting document that I listed below OR just the 6-page completed form I-485?

Thanks
