Question on medical without NVC hard copy or email

We just got our case no. but we have no NVC letter nor email. What I'm trying to do is because my fiancee lives in a small city in Mindanao, I want to have her go to CFO and medical exam while i'm visiting Manila. So she doesn't have to come back to Manila again before the interview.

Possible medical date can be Sep. 8th and 9th, but because she lives in a small city we won't be able to pay for the visa fee now which will give us copy of the interview date from DS160. Should I have her pay for the visa in Butuan before I arrive in Manila just so we can get the screenshot of interview date? It takes more than 6 hours one way on a bus to get to Butuan for her, just to pay for the visa, then come back home which will take another 6 hours. I'll be flying out on Sept. 6th, staying only few days.

thanks for your help in advance

I either don't understand your question at all or you don't understand the process. You cannot get medical without interview date and a copy of the DS-160 confirmation page. You cannot get an interview date without paying the visa fee. To schedule the interview online it will ask for your receipt number from paying the fee.

Many of us who have fiancees have ones who travel many hours to pay the fees. I understand the long hours, but to say she can't just isn't true.

You don't need an interview date or to have paid the visa fee before you do the DS-160. It does not have anywhere on the form that you put the interview date.

Yes I understand that i can't get an interview date without paying the visa fee; however, somewhere in this forum, I remember i saw someone posted that it's possible to get the medical exam done with only MNL case # in an email from NVC.

Apparently I misunderstood about the DS-160 portion though. I thought I must pay the visa fee in order to complete the DS160. I was looking at the DS160 last night and I thought one of the questions was having me fill out the MRV deposit slip number.

I think I'll just have her go pay for the visa fee. thanks for your prompt reply

MRV deposit slip number is on the appt site. The appt slip printout will be ok for medical if you dont get the nvc letter or email.

First things first. You need to pay the visa fee first as this establishes that you do have a visa application that is moving forward. Once you complete the payment, wait 4-6 hours, to let the bank update USEM that you indeed have paid the visa interview fee, then you can schedule your interview appointment. Then make a screen shot of the confirmation of the interview date. Once you have the interview date established then you can complete the DS-160, where upon you will need your receipt number from the visa payment receipt.

You will be required to present your appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service or you may print off a copy of your visa interview appointment confirmation page after you have scheduled your visa appointment online, to begin your medical exam.

Can I lend a little advice here for you. This can be as difficult a process as you want to make it, but in the end this is an easy process. There are some real talented people here who will help you along the way, but you have to put some "skin" in the game and that includes your fiancé traveling for 6 hours to pay a visa fee. There are many guides to help you through the process. Hank and I have one (links are in our signature boxes, mine is below at the red arrow), there are guides here in VJ and there are those that NVC and UCIS and DOS have created as well as the Embassy Letter from USEM. These are tools for you to use.

We don't want you NOT to come back here and ask questions, after all that is how we learned by the people who went before us. Just try and not over think the process.
