Think i made a terrible mistake, i live in CA but i've sent ROC documents to VSC instead of CSC last September, is there a way that i can make them transfer my case back to CSC instead of stuking in VSC's long waiting list for another couple months?

Most times, USCIS will check a package(documents) before taking your payment and processing your petition and if they come across any concerns then you'd be notified!

Did you receive you NOA receipt of case acceptance and or your ASC bio-metric notice? if you did then your file was most probably transfered or routed to the correct service center! Another quick way to tell is by looking at the first three characters on your notice(s)... EAC is for Vermont Service Center and WAC is for California Service center! Good luck to you and Keep us posted!

Hi KASH,

Yes i've got the bio done last October in SF and received the NOA receipt, unfortunately the first 3 letters of the receipt number are EAC, the bio-metric receipt is showing my case will be processed at VSC.

i didn't know that until i saw so many September filers have already got approved by CSC, then i went back looking at all the notices i got from USCIS and noticed what i've done wrong.

My concern is will they still process my case even though i sent my package to the wrong service center? i don't mind waiting for another couple months as long as they are processing my case or if there are any chances that they could transfer my case to CSC to speed up the process.

guess i will have to call them on Tuesday to find out. thx for your reply, have a nice long weekend.

Yes! They will continue processing your case the "VSC way"....! I would also call and talk to a tier 2 agent then ask them about your case being transferred to CSC!

if your file is moved over to CSC, there's a possibility of a speedy adjudication/processing and approval! Enjoy your weekend too.

Congrats,

To update the list, an exact or approx date is need. What date was your RFE received? What date did you get the update for card in production?

I checked my case status and it said there was no case!!! Im going to call first thing Monday morning. Has anyone else had a similar issue with waiting sooooo long for their GC after approval??

ROC actually has 2 case numbers, so make sure you entered to correct one. They can be found on the biometrics letter (not the extension letter).

Best wishes!
