Folks,

Our case is at the consulate and ready now. I aslo have submitted the inquiry about our packet 3. When I filled out her DS-160 I said no to the same mailing address and put the address where I wanted them to send her packet 3 to. So, will they send it to the mailing address or her actually address in her household register?

Thanks

They won't be able to update the address now. And they couldn't not answer to my question properly. How do I know whether they send the packet 3 out or not? I asked if I'll be notify and they gave me another answer. What should I do?

How long has it been since the status changed to READY? I would wait 2-3 weeks after the physical paperwork arrived at the consulate and hit them up again with another inquiry. Tell them you still have not received it and ask them to email you a copy of the Packet 3 letter.

I should have read your original question twice before answering. My bad. The Packet 3 should be sent to the address that you put on the I-129F form, which is the address on her Ho Khau. At this time, the consulate does not have your DS160 yet, or know about it, so the mailing address makes no difference to them. If your fiancee does not live at her Ho Khau address, have her check with whoever lives there and ask them to be on the look out for it. Either that or ask them to email you a copy are your only choices at the moment.

We never got our Packet 3 letter so we asked them to email it to us and used it for my wife's med exam & vaccinations.

The NVC sent my physical file to the consulate on the 20th. Showed consulate received it on the 24th. Can I submit a inquiry asking for instruction letter now? Or at least confirm that you already receive my physical file?? Thanks alot

You should send them an inquiry asking them to confirm the receipt of your package. And, while you're on it, explain to them about your different mailing address, then ask them to email you a copy because your fiancee will not be at the registered address to receive the packet.

I think it saves time to do it now rather than wait for another week or two.

It has been three weeks since NVC stated that they sent my physical file to the consulate. But the consulate kept telling me that my case is not fully transferred yet, and they didn't answer when I requested to have a electronic instruction letter. What can I do now?? Keep submitting inquiry ??

I called the NVC again this morning and they confirmed to me that they have sent my physical file on the 20th. And electronic file has been sent before that. The consulate kept telling me that my case is not fully transferred. Thiet answer is like a automatic reply. Should I keep submitting inquiry with my main concert is to receive electronic instruction letter???
