Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice on where I am meant to file the I-134 Affidavit of support.

My interview is coming up on the 17th of September and i have been informed that my fiancee needs to file this form, however we do not know whether she needs to file that somewhere in the US or she needs to scan it to me so that i just take it to my interview.

I hope someone can help me because i would really hate to stumble at the final hurdle of this process.

For a LONDON interview, you take it to the interview along with your passport, police certificate, birth certificate and other required documents.

Read your K1 Instruction page (Embassy website) again http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html

Step 2 - Assemble all of the documents required in support of your application, including the Affidavit of Support from your fiance(e) or in the case of a K3 visa applicant, spouse. Download the document checklist here, as a PDF file. Do not send any documents to the Immigrant Visa Unit.

They want original signed form. If you have an employer letter it should be original. This is the big finish. Provide proper, well prepared stuff.

I do know one person who got by with a scanned I-134, but she was a very pretty blonde with a crazy complicated story. Are you handsome and cool enough to talk your way through a last minute scan?
