There is a free photo tool from the Dept of State to make your own if you have a digital camera and a white background. Maybe a door? It does the sizing and cropping for you if you take a photo of head and torso. Don't try to take a close up head shot. Let the tool do the zooming. It produces a 4x6 you can print at home or a photo kiosk. The 2x2 passport photo is in the middle to cut out of the 4x6 print.

We used it for embassy, AOS, naturalization, and US passports. On this page http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/photos/photos.html

Near the embassy, look around the Bond Street tube station and also Gould's Pharmacy on N. Audley.

One US size for interview despite anything the website says. They scan it and hand it back according to all who have interviewed lately.

Medical now requires four and they can be US or UK size. It is for ID, stapled on each of the four pages of the medical report.

You can get them done in photo booths now too. The ones in Boots stores (who I didn't know were part of the same company as Walgreens - fun fact) have the US visa option.

We've an asda, Tesco & morrisons in my town that all have photo booths with a US option.

Hi,

There's an app for that.

There are a few free apps to make your own passport photos. They include requirements for multiple countries including the U.S. and UK. Once you take your pictures, you can have them printed at most photo locations.
