Seems it has been forever that i started this visa journey with my husband and seems the one witch at the amman embassy is doing all she can to try and stop us.It's going on 2 years now and almost a year since i have seen my husband last in jordan. And how she is able to stop us is simple she can say no to the sponcers even if they are good.We sent her a sponcer that makes 80 thousand a year and again she said no.That just goes to show us that one wentch on pms all the time can change your lives forever. We are now doing another sponcer and i bet even if we find a rich one this b**ch will say no.I hate to use that word but after years of this it tends to kill ones spirit. It makes me sick to see what they not only do to me but to many many others.I wonder how that woman can sleep with herself at night.I am not even sure how to feel about any of this anymore not when your future depends on an evil woman that holds your future in her hands and it seems to make her feel she has great power. After all this now it also seems my husband and i have changed in many ways.I used to see things as if there is a will there is a way and he used to think god put us together that he can't keep us apart forever. But i see we both don't feel these things anymore.i stopped going on Vj because it was hard for me to see others that may have gone threw what ashraf and i have and we are still going threw. It's hard to go on in life when the man that holds your heart lives in another part of the world. So in a way its like i am the living dead just walking threw life because i have to.I just hope god ends all this pain soon.I knew we had to be strong doing this visa but i never in my thoughts ever knew it would be this hard or this painfull.I just hope no one else has to go threw all that ashraf and i keep going threw. And if anyone is well may god keep you strong because i know i have no more strength left :( But ashraf will forever be the air i breath and the earth i walk on just maybe it's not our destiny to breath and walk together.

I am truly sorry for your pain and unfair treatment.

We are on AP and I hate the uncertainty.

Have you tried a congressional inquiry or contacted a lawyer for advice ?

Does the CO give you any reason at all why she won't accept the sponsor ?

What does she say ?

Keep holding on and never give up. You are in my prayers. (F)

I am truely sorry to hear of this predicament. It is definitely not an easy road to travel.

First, What is the reason for the denial? What exactly did they say?

Second, Call your congressman. See what they can do to help you. I know they have helped many many others in situations such as this.

Third, Is there any possibility of you moving to Jordan and living with him instead?

I am sure you will overcome this. Don't lose hope. We are all here for you.

I'm sorry you're going through this stuff, I know as well as you, it's painfull and frustrating. If you compare our timelines - they're almost the same. Except my husband had 2 interviews and still nothing. I keep hearing the same BS over and over again. If I knew at the beginning what I know now!!!

Somebody gave me an advice before I filed and it was not to give them extra info, now I think it was a bad advice. I came to this site too late for anything and now just waiting or STILL waiting but trying to live my life the best way I can. I mean, I'm at home with my kids and cats, don't go out. Kind of like many people have said here 'fourty year old virgin', but what can you do? I've contacted anybody whom I could except the President and Mr. Rice, I've heard it's no use.

Just be patient, try to enjoy your life and try to be happy today and not wait for tomorrow! I know it's easier said, than done! There's also some tips on handling 'the wait' on this site. I used to read cards before going to sleep, but it seems like a waste of time after a while.

So, now I'm just pretending that everything's the way it's supposed to be and my life is just fine like it is! And try to find some little things that bring you joy and make you happy or at least make you laugh every time you can!

One thing that keeps me going is a little story about arabic coins. I've had that coin for about 10 years or so, but couldn't find out from which country it was. When we were getting married in Morocco, I looked at his coins (he was paying for everything and I don't speak the language, so I didn't have to deal with the money over there). So, I looked at the money and coins and saw the same coin that I have at home! That was at the time when we were about to give up getting married cause it was too many obstacles! That's how we knew that we are supposed to be together! So, we didn't give up! I had to buy another ticket with a later date and loose the other ticket, which was over $600 and stay a few days more to get married!

I just got the movie "Secret" - it's very good stuff! The funny thing, I knew it all along. If you can watch it online for $5 or get it somewhere to watch, I'd highly recommend it! It tells you not to think about the bad stuff you don't want, but think about what you do want!

I know my husband will be here eventually! If you need more tips from me personally, feel free to PM me - I don't have all the answers, but I try to stay positive no matter what!

Good luck and I wish you the best! VERY IMPORTANT: Contact the Congressman and Senator and ask them for help as well real soon!!! Right now!

I'm very sorry that this has been so difficult for you. As others have suggested, you should try to contact your congressional rep. and in the meantime is moving to Jordan completely out of the question for you?

Good Luck

I understand what you are going through.....and I know the EXACT Beeyatch at the embassy whom you are referring to. I actually had the displeasure of talking to her over the phone last month and she literally made me cry. I was sobbing in tears afterwards because I was simply trying to ask a question and she literally hung up on me!! I woke up at 3 am to make the call and the beeyatch was absolutely EVIL. It often does seem like they do everything in their power NOT to help you and KEEP you from getting the Visa...like when the embassy NEVER even contacted me or my fiance to tell us our Visa had been issued. I was lucky enough to get a nice person at the State Department who told me that Amman had the Visa ready....even when I contacted Amman they STILL didn't tell me the Visa was ready and wouldn't even check....I had to TELL THEM! And even when the Visa is ready for issue they make it nearly impossible to get it. They will not allow you to come into the embassy to pick it up! You have to mail them your passport and then wait for them to mail it back and just PRAY to GOD it doesn't get lost - either accidentally or on purpose. I don't trust those fu*kers any further than I can throw them. Keep your chin up and don't lose hope.

I am a little confused about this whole "sponsor" thing you are referring to? What exactly is the problem? Are they saying YOU as his SO do not have the means to support him if he were to come to the U.S.?? Provide us with a few more details regarding your case, maybe someone here can help you more.

Good luck.

I am sure you tried, but just thought I'd suggest anyway. I've been emailing them and they have been as accommodating as possible. God willing, you will get the approval this time around.
