10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

congrats!!! :) ours is this coming friday.very nervous...can u share her interview experience??plss.

thank u!'congrats again!

I could relate with you, I was nervous the whole time even though I was not the one getting interview, I actually couldn't sleep that day and had to call off of work because I word graveyard shift and I barely had 2.5 hrs sleep. From what she told me, there were 5 steps procedure, i forgot what step 1 and 2 is but step 3 is the filipino consul and she said that the filipino consul had more questions than the american consul, I think she said she spent 5-10 mins with the filipino consul, the filipino consul had basic questions, they asked her name, my name, if she's married, they only asked for my w2 and the 1040 income tax, the nbi, cenomar and birth certificate, they had a little problem with her birth certificate because the copy was not too clear but my fiancee informed them that every time she get's a copy of her bc they're always not clear and she offered to show a second copy and the filipino consul said it was ok, the filipino consul also question her how many times I visited her and about my divorce papers, after all that she was asked to sit down and wait to be called for the american consul(which is the step 4), she waited for awhile for the american consul interview and when she was called one good thing she did was she greeted the american consul and gave a big smile so the american consul also greeted her back and smiled as well. The ACO asked her basic questions, her name, my name, where I worked, where my work was located and asked for photos of us, after she gave the ACO the photos the ACO said that I look bossy and both of them laughed LOL, she said she only spent may 2-3 mins with the ACO, the ACO told her to call 911 if i mistreat her or for any emergencies and gave her a pamphlet and then my fiancee was unsure if she was approved and then she asked the ACO if she was approved and the ACO said "yes ma'am you're approved" and my fiancee jumped for joy and was smiling so the ACO was smiling and laughing with her. My fiancee said that if you're approve you don't have to go to step 5 which is the releasing window, which we believe is the window where they give the 221g if they need more documents from you. The ACO also told her to wait 10 days before her visa gets issued. I wish you good luck and also pray that your fiance will get good results and be approved as well!

Congrats, a big part of the journey is over, now the CFO class and actually getting your visa with your passport.

Then it is such fun to go buy the actual airline ticket to come to the USA.

Great news!

Just reading your post.. I can feel how happy both of you.. Just wanna ask I red that they only ask for form i137, income tax, and w2? Doesn't mean I don't have to bring employment letter and pay stub from my fiancee? Does your fiancee at the interview bring those docs? But CO didn't not ask for it.. Coz as of now I still don't have employment letter and pay stub of my fiance.. Thanks

Yes she brought everything, my W2, 1040 income tax, employment letter and bank statement, but the CO only asked for my w2 and 1040.
