I don't know how USC can get CENOMAR, that's what I thought the "Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage" is for. I know to bring divorce decree from previous marriage for USEM - Manila appointment and will have both those documents for civil marriage ceremony.

How long did it take for you to get CENMAR to file with I-130 after you were married?

On the I-130, I don't know how to answer question '21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together. (Include street, city, province, if any, and country)'

I've never lived abroad, so we've never lived together (I'm USC, she's Filipina) that's why I'm filing I-130 so we can be together.

Greenbaum:

Thanks for the replies. I've previously read those links, but they don't have enough information that I need. I'm hoping someone who's gone through my situation could help me out.

I'm just trying to make sure the process will go through smoothly and quickly :)

Thanks!

Neither of us required CENOMAR when we got married there.

As far as last address lived together, I put her home address cause that where we are staying when I go there.

Andy&Jiezel,

Not a quick process to get married there. Marriage license has a 10 day waiting period and also family planning counseling is required before it's released. Once your municipal marriage certificate is recorded, it is sent to NSO. Expect to see the NSO marriage certificate 2-3 weeks after your married. Copy of the NSO marriage certificate is what is submitted with the I-130.

If she chooses to change her name she will need to schedule for CFO seminar. She will need the CFO certificate to change the name her passport and other id's.

Thanks everyone for your help! I hope that I understand correctly...I have to file seperate I-130's for both my soon to be wife and her 5 yo daughter. Fortunately, she is only one listed on her daughters BC, so there won't be any problems with that. I'm hoping my CR-1 and CR-2 go through smoothly and quickly like some of the other members. It looks like about 5-8 mo's through the process without RFE's.

You are correct. Regardless of the I130 page 2 question: Who will be traveling with beneficiary? Leave that blank or say no one. That question bit us since I listed our daughter there. Each visa applicant for Cr-1 / CR-2 needs their own packet all the way through the process except when you file the AOS documents and pay that invoice. At that stage there is only 1 fee / packet. Then back to 2 when you send in IV docs.
