When we landed at our POE we were told that we must have the medical documents to a doctor here within a month. I asked my doctor why is this and he said he was not sure. He also said probably needs another vaccination. We have to get married and have until October 29 2015 and we have it scheduled for September 19,2015. That is when she will have my benefits. I am more than willing to bring her to doctor's now but I am not sure if it is going to give us trouble or can we wait for the benefits? Does anyone know or have had this problem and what should I receive from the doctor here for my I 485? Anyone with information would really help us out. Thank you and hope everybody is doing well in the journey....

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Did she have some medical issue that was ongoing or found at the K-1 medical?

If not, then I have no idea why she was told to get to the doctor. She most likely only has a copy of her DS-3025 and not her full medical documents anyway. This typically how it works for a K-1 > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

Well I think she might need another vaccination. We also got held up because they saw a spot on her lungs but went through speutum test and had to wait 10 weeks for results which came back negative. Another thing we went to get her SS card today and the representative told us that when we came into POE they should have given us the I94 and some stamp on the visa. Now I download and printed the I94 but no stamp and I am not sure where we would get this and I asked the person at SS and they did not know either so I am at a lose again. Also can I go to any doctor because they keep say civil surgeon and nothing is real clear on these matters. The first part was alot clearer then after we have gotten visa and to the U.S. Thank in advance for any info.......

If the sputum test came back negative for TB, then that is why there was no treatment needed and her K-1 was granted. Shouldn't have to go for a follow up in the US, but I believe they may suggest it. Perhaps that was in the notes of the medical exam.

As for the vaccination, she can get it anywhere, but must take that record and her DS-3025 to a civil surgeon to have the vaccinations transcribed onto an I-693, as it discusses in the link I posted before > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

She did not get an entry stamp in her passport? Perhaps contact your nearest CBP deferred inspection office to get that corrected > http://www.cbp.gov/contact/deferred-inspection/overview-deferred-inspection
