Yes, yes, yes. We managed to miss last week's dump by taking a roadtrip to the southern states (and thank god we brought the car or it surely would have been towed for snow emergency). Last night and today has been a grand dump and the snow was up to my thighs. My little brother was snow blowing and Rey and I were shoveling in all different parts of my parents' driveway. It took hours (not counting the sledding break we took ;) ) Anyway it's so demoralizing to see that there are at least 3 more inches on the ground since we stopped shoveling. :(

This is in Minneapolis, btw, so we should expect this...

Ugh, you can have it this time! Within the past couple weeks, we got dumped on with 12" of snow in one day, then about another 5" the next. Followed by a very slight warm-up then flooding a couple of days ago.

Yep...we've been under the same blizzard warning MaryLou was talking about...wind is really whipping out there, but it's mostly drifting and not dropping new...we were supposed to get more than a foot of new snow from this, but it looks like it went a bit west...(haha Swirls! :P ) We did just get 14 inches about 3 days ago though, so we've got enough fornow...and we did pick up 2/3 more tonight...it's still coming down but a lot slower than they said it would, so I think it's just gonna huff and puff a bit now.... M.

We're in yet another storm again today. 6" have fallen so far. Only due 10 inches though so I can't complain. What I do complain about is the shitty town I live in. We still have 5' snow banks on the pavement, and with this dumped on top it's not gonna be priddy. It's like walking to work in an igloo.

I'm in sleepy Vermont but it feels like Minnesota! We've had a killer winter this year after such a mild start at the end of last year. Record snow falls and now record temperatures. The ski areas are booming with business now. Yesterday morning we had a temp of -22F which broke the March record temp. An hour north of me they had a temp of -35F!! It is crazy! Tonight we're expecting a low of -20F. It is very rough this time around and even rougher on a softie Brit like me. :P BUT! It is going to warm up next week to a balmy 40F so I can't wait.

We got a lot of snow here as well...Usually it doesn;t snow here at all because we live so close to the ocean, but yesterday it started snowing at 10am and finished snowing at 8pm. It looks very nice but the roads were so bad. I can't wait for the spring to start, I'm kind of sick of that weather, it is really enough, and way to cold.

Hope for all of you as well that this was the last snow before spring!

Amen to that. I've already planted my tomato seeds to get ready and this weekend we're gonna make some maple syrup. Who says I don't have a fun life, eh? :P

Michelle -- The local rag had a story about the cold. Upon reading it, it really does sound like Northern WI!

Been thinking about you Lou Lou! My Mom can't believe how much snow y'all have gotten and how bloody cold it's been! She says it can't snow anymore because there is no where to put it. I can't believe it either because when Derek and I were there for Christmas it was 40 and NO snow.

Snowed here in Northern VA yesterday (more like a dusting really) and I'd like to say it's cold (around 20 in the am) but then I look at Burlington and realize we are having a heat wave in comparison.

Mmmm, maple syrup...

There was some kind of big water issue in your Mum's town this past week wasn't there? I don't think there will be much more snow, but who knows, eh? I know we've been dumped on pretty heavily in early April in the past! I live in the flood city (they call it a city, but that's a laff considering how small it is  ) -- I'm sure your Mum or you know where that is! We've even been given escape route maps for the big thaw. Eeek!

It is gorgeous -- even in the cold! Because it's daily news, they keep moving the link around! Here it is again, but by the time you get here, it will have probably moved again. ;) I don't know what the actual low was for the last night, but as I type here at nearly 8am, the current temp. according to weather pages is -16F (-27C). It feels quite warm compared to some days. :dancing:

Hmmm, I don't think she mentioned anything about water issues, but she has said that she is very glad she is up pretty high on Blush Hill so her house won't flood the way houses in town probably will. I can only imagine the mess that's going to occur when it all melts. Yikes! Stay dry. And warm!

Call your Mom 'cos she's gonna be snowed in again this weekend! We're expecting a nor'easter to come in tonight. My town is getting 10-15 overnight with another 2-4 tomorrow, and your Mom's town is going to get 10-15 overnight with 4-6 tomorrow! They gave these predictions when we ended up with 30" so pray it doesn't happen again -- I want spring! :help:
