What a difference a day makes

This comparison pic was taken yesterday and then again today at the same spot...lol...a bit of difference, eh? (course, the limo wasn't there today)

Anyone else in and/or around Virginia get this too? We've got about a foot out there and its still falling. It's slowed down a lot but I think ice pellets are now taking it's place. Looks like another snow day or two coming up. The kids missed FOUR DAYS last week cuz of the ice storm. This keeps going, they won't have any spring break for making those days up.

Also looks like someone from work is going to have to come and get me tomorrow because I am not getting down this driveway!

Im in Alexandria VA and we have four inches right now. Freezing rain has just started up but it doesnt seem to be making any difference to the snow. So much for my husband telling me how warm Virginia is and what lovely weather it gets. Ive been duped !

We luckily missed it this time, and after the record 30 inches in 24 hours that we got last week, I'm pretty grateful we did too. I'd take several feet of snow over ice any day. We still have around 3-4 feet of snow on the ground, but that is normal. I can't wait for mud season

We were under a blizzard warning all lastnight and into this morning. It wasnt a blizzard but we did end up with about 7 inches of new snow and its snowing/raining now.

Yeppers!! here in Falls Church VA, just outside DC, we got 4-6 inches of the white stuff!! I'm just back in from shovelling off 15 parking spots! whewwwwwww Beer is going down nicely!!

Actually, just a few HOURS made considerable difference.

When we went to church yesterday, the road had been CLEAR to that point, but the snow had just started falling.

There was over 7.5 cm to remove when we came out; it slowed us down greatly getting home (normally 1-1.5 hours, yesterday over 2) due to slippery conditions, low visibility.

We're still trying to get rid of the lot that was dumped on us 3 weeks ago. It is still on the ground, all grey, slushy and 'orrible.

So no, no more for us. I've put a ban on it actually. Asked the Sky Fairy to give us a break. She said "sure, seeing as it's you, no problem."

We have had very little snow in Upper Michigan, that is, until this week. I guess we hd a foot of snow in 24 hours and Winter storm Edward is about to drop some more on us tomorrow!

Good luck on your immigration journeys. In answer to the original message thread of getting snow here, my answer would definately have to be a "Yes!". There's always snow up here in the NYS countryside, even more snow than where I used to lived in the city in Canada. Weird. It's all probably due to the lake effect that where I live there is beautiful white and fluffy snow here.....

I like it when it snows (especially when it snows in the countryside)! Winter is my favourite season, and without snow it would not be winter at all.....
