Do I really need to get a copy of my tax transcript? I have w-2's for last 2 years and was not working the 3rd year, I also have current pay stubs that show I am making enough and letter from employer. Also when will I need to file this with the 134 form? my I-129F was just accepted on 2-15-07 and I know they are running about 7 months behind.

Thanks everyone in advance, just so glad the process is started and want to do it right

I'm not bringing tax trancscripts with me to my fiance's interview. I have my tax returns from 2004-2006 along with my W2s, letter from when I opened my bank account, last 5 paystubs, and my letter and contract from my employer.

Greetings! If you have copy of your tax return then that would be great. The tax transcript can be used as well. Based on all the things I have read the last three tax returns show that you have had stable income.

Uh, this is the first year I've filed in my life (through H&R Block). What I have is several pages marked 1040 and "COPY ONLY DO NOT FILE" printed as background on all pages. Is this the tax return? Then what is the tax transcript (which I guess from this thread is not necessary). And is it ok to have the COPY thing as background?

You may want to post a topic in the "Embassy" forum since taxes are submitted at the time of the interview.

Good luck.

(As far as I know - and I could be wrong - tax transcripts are used in place of tax returns).
