So, true! Arabs are only about 18% of all Muslims, and many Arabs are Christian or Jewish. The ME is a powder keg, yes, but the problesm are complex and encompass many factors, religion being a minor part. Historical perspective, politics and ego in the guise of religion is a primary problem.

I don't know exactly why Islam and violence go hand in hand. I just know that they do. There is evidence daily in any media outlet you look at. Read Al Jazeera even. The majority of Germans in ww2 were not in the Nazi party or believed in what the Nazis were doing. But they were swept up in it all by an extremist minority. Sound familar?

that number for India would be a 1987 estimate, that mentioned for Pakistan around 1996.

The number for India in 1991 was about 157 million, 2001 about 179 million (unofficial estimate closer to 201-219 million, meaning India displaces Indonesia). Muslim population of India has always exceeded that of (erstwhile West) Pakistan since Partition.

And I didn't ask how many Islamic terror activitites happened, I asked for the demographics of ALL TERRORISTS of the 20th century. There are more objective sources than that one. All they do is place the word "Muslim" in the description of the incident and it becomes "Islamic terrorism". If we described all crimes by the religion of their perpetrators, we'd be besiged by Christian violence. Give me a break!
