I'm Arab myself, and my ME friends and I don't hate the US. You need better friends (or maybe they're hateful because of you!)

Next you are going to tell me Iran, Syria, Libya and the US are allies..

You have a knack for not responding with relevancy. I can tell that you're lying because using hateful Middle Eastern

"friends" to justify your own hatred is just plain ludicris. You must think we're all stupid to buy into that. I've been Middle Eastern all my life, and the ####### you spin is definitely formed from the scornful websites you inhabit rather than from any insight or personal relationship with real ME people. Your crutches are the vulgar stereotypes you maliciously cling to. Anyone with any knowledge of the ME can tell you haven't a clue otherwise.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You know - that's exactly what I thought when you posted that personal attack in response to one of my comments. ;)

refresh my memory

That's the truth, not a personal attack. Your game is to have no opinion. Everyone knows it.

Sure - and your game is obviously to hold to bald and offensive stereotypes about something which you know absolutely nothing about, and are so far into your "reverse extremism" that you link your profile to an offensive website and claim it to be "the truth". Everyone, I think, knows your game...

Be original for once. On the other hand, I am proud that I have driven an opinion out of you. This thread has accomplished that.

BTW... I have been to the Middle East. Have you?

P.S. I'm off to run errands so I'll be back later.

Actually if you remember... you didn't wait for my opinion on the OP topic - you weren't/aren't up for any sort of discussion, that seems fairly clear.

No I have not visited the ME, but that aside, and I'm thinking of one person in particular here - who allegedly visited all the time and harped on about his “vast experience”, proved quite conclusively that a person can be well-travelled and yet still be a complete idiot.

As for originality - you've been trotting out that same 'violent religion' line since the year dot ;)

Ok, then, please explain which part of Islam is sophisticated and which part isn't. Is it the ideology? The implementation (hardly), or the infrastructure (how can a religion have infrastructure?)

The religion may not, but the countries which (claim to) use it as a basis do.

Many of these actually have pretty lousy infrastructure (which hasn't moved forward in sometime).

You're missing the point. How is it Islam can be credited with some hugely elaborate and sophisticated plan? No one is arguing limited infrastructure in Muslim countries, but what about the rest? Where are the sophisticated weapons and military? What is this multipronged plan?

Conspiracy? Secret plan? How can the muslims do that? ....Wait! I know! They must be getting help from the Jews!

These are just some quick examples. I can find many many more. Do you seriously want to go down that route?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

What route? The one that proves that you know how to find hateful websites? No talent or brains required to make them or for you to find them. Or, are these videos supposed to be proof that you have America hating Middle Eastern friends? Your friends made these videos, perhaps? Or, instead, it is to show that among 1.5 billion Muslims, you can find a few who make videos that, in your mind, justifies the villification of a great religion and an entire population of human beings.

This is what you have proven, in point of fact: that I was right when I said that all you know about Muslims and Islam is what you get from hateful websites. You have no America hating Middle Eastern friends, you know nothing about Islam, and you need to degrade and stereotype others in order to feel good about yourself.

You are very much like what you hate, and they have taught you well.

one must take pity for the clueless

...Christianity remains the same...only people are more enlightened (at least I hope they are).

Actually, Christianity went back to following the RULES of the Bible (and not clergy-ordained traditions) 500 years ago.

Ingrained clergy-ordained tradition was also a problem during Jesus' time (and much condemned by the Saviour).

In the case of Islam, it is quite difficult for the outsider to separate the two. However, due to a rather high percentage of the world's Muslims being illiterate (far higher than for Christians, and somewhat higher than even NORTHERN Hindus), do you think they will rely on c-o-t or Quran?
