Hi, I don't know if anybody remembers me here. I used to spend quite abit of time on this forum while waiting to be united with my husband. Can't believe that it has been almost 3 years since I moved here wide eyed, excited and somewhat afraid. Jason and I are about to purchase our very first house so I stopped by to check if the change of address process is still the same. After 2ish years here, I have built up a credit score comparable to my husband's great score so we got approved for a mortgage pretty easily. I work at a public elementary school as a special ed. aide and am going to school to earn my degree in special education so I can actually have my own class!

Life has been great. I swear the first year here I thought I would not survive and we fought alot but we have learned so much and love each other more than we ever have and I can ask for nothing better. We have no kids yet and don't intend too until I finish school. :P

The journey has seen its ups and downs but I have never been happier. May your journey be as wonderful as mine!

oh I will also have to remove conditions on my GC soon so I'll probably be back for more info. Glad that this site is still around! :)

Hey! 'Becca how are you? Long time no see!

Yep, the address change process is the same as far as I know. I just did it myself in December. You'll need the AR-11 for you and the I-865 for your hubby.

Congrats on the new house and new job. Onward and upward! :D

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

Rebecca,

I definitely remember you! You were a big help when I was packing my stuff in Singapore and figuring out the best way to ship all my stuff to the US. I crossed my first anniversary as a conditional PR just 2½ weeks ago. You are so right about how time flies!

Life is still good here in Indy. I'm working full time in data admin for a small company that treats me VERY well. My supervisor is great and I have very dedicated and fun colleagues.

Oh ya, I got my driver's license in Aug last year. It took me 6 months to pluck up the courage to finally take the test. LOL. Driving has been all right for the most part. Driving in snow is not so fun, though. :P

So glad to see you here again. And even happier things are working out well for you and your hubby. :)

I haven't "talked" to you before but I sure do remember you..

It was awful when I first moved here too, but luckily things are just getting better and better, so I know what you're talking about. Hubby and I are also buying a house this summer..we know we're gonna love it!

Good Luck on the rest of your journey!!
