These hatemongers appeared in Karen's town last year to protest an in-school club that preached tolerance and acceptance for gays and lesbians. As much as people hated the idea of homosexuality being discussed in the community, they did not tolerate these people to protest in their town.

What they're trying to do is provoke a response that they can litigate. Most of the adults in the family (nearly everyone in their "church" is related) are lawyers and they sue anyone who infringes on their rights. So they protest soldiers' funerals, person gets understandably upset and reacts (say, a good cockpunching) and then they can sue the person.

I think (and I may be wrong) that this is the same group who's actions prompted the bill in missouri to be introduced... making it illegal to picket and protest at a funeral.

February 16, 2006 - USCIS accepts the motion to reopen without an additional fee - finally something goes right! We should hear from USCIS St. Louis office within 2 weeks.

April 3, 2006 - Received welcome to America letter in the mail!

April 8, 2006 - Received GC in the mail - done for 2 years!!!!

March 3, 2008 NSC delivery confirmation

March 28, 2008 Biometrics appointment

Legal Permanent Resident - just waiting for time to pass for him to have eligibility for citizenship.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Only downside.. I'd have to step foot in kansas again, and I hate Kansas.

Oh god these "christians" are at it again...they picketted our school last term because of a gay/straight alliance that our local high school kids wanted to form. Sheesh! If that's christianity, I don't want it. :angry:
