Sorry, rubbish title but it's hard to word properly.

I understand that at the final stage when submitting readiness for interview I can then give them a date by which I'd like to travel. However based on current timelines that could be cutting it fine. Am I allowed to put a brief cover letter in with the I-130 application explaining the situation and requesting if at all possible that it's processed quickly?

I'm pregnant, and my husband was just told he's being made redundant Dec. 31st, hence the decision to go back to the USA (plus my Mum passed away suddenly in December so we'd love to be near his family). But I am due March 3rd, and the airline we need to fly on for our routing and to take our pets won't take pregnant women past 34 weeks. So that restricts me a fair bit on timing.

At the moment it seems to be taking 4-6mos, and we are mailing our application today so as I said cutting it fine (but only because of the circumstances!).

I don't want to do anything that's going to delay our application, inadvertently.

Thanks for any input that can be given.

Thanks. It would be a financial hardship to wait until after the baby has been born for many reasons but that's probably all too convoluted to get into! I'll just pray for the best. ;)

I don't think you can. The website says they only accept I-130 by mail.

Correct.

The OP can mail it express though and get it there within 24 hours. But they won't process it the day it arrives, they process in first-come first-served order.
