we also have a siberian named bella. she is only loveable with me. i think she is a one person cat. she is a silver one.

Our Bella isn't a super lovey cat. We didnt adopt her till she was around 17 weeks in age. She loves to be around us, but doesn't care to be picked up and hugged. Part is probably due to the fact our dog is a bit hyper and loves to chase her! lol But she starts a lot of the chasing game herself! Kipper hasn't yet met Anna. Anna has spent the weekend with Megs brother, who also bought a condo in the same complex, so he comes in very handy. As well he is a super cook!! Too bad he departs for Iraq tomorrow for 4 months.

I'm hoping Kipper will be a big cat, Siberians can get rather large. They are a very slow maturing cat though, which I'm fine with. We were not sure how bella was going to take the addition of another cat. She doesn't seem to be that ticked off. Very little hissing, and no cuffing!! I think she really wants to play, but little Kipper is like, damn, ur far to large to play with!!

Yes would be nice if our animals all could live healthy into their 20's. When I was in Victoria, this fellow walked his 21 yr old Golden retriever and his cat nightly!! Beautiful dog! I think the longest one of our cats has lived to was 19. We had piles of cats growing up. Fred (who lived til 19) was given to my sister while on recess back at elementary school!! A lady out of the blue came up to here and just gave her the cat and took off!! My sister phoned my mom, and we had a new cat,lol Cats always seemed to find us.

Are you looking for Siberians? I can pass on two reputable breeders in the VA area. Buty I belive both already have waiting lists for kittens not even born yet. I know of another breeder inthe blue Mtn area of AV, but would not recommend her, as she is in it for the $$ and knows very little about the Siberian breed!!

if this is too personal just tell me...how much did u pay for ur siberians?

Both breeders charged $600 a kitten. Which seems to be about the average around here. of course thats for a pet. If one wants to breed, they are more $$$. And both of these breeders don't allow that many to be bred, and I belive both already have waiting lists!! They do ship as well, not sure how much they charge for that. Kipper is a super cat, super lovey. Sits on my shoulder./head as I do homework, lol So far soo good. Here is Kippers' breeders web site: http://www.siberian-kittens.com/ Cheers

Aww... that is just so adorable. The Siberian breed is very pretty. It makes me wish I had one to keep me company. But I've been traveling around the States with my husband (for his job) and we would have no one to take care of our pet if we got one :-(

thanks for telling me. i was afraid i paid too much for mine, well actually i paid $700. so that was more then u but at least in the same ballpark. i cant imagine why they are so much but if we want it bad enough we pay. i dont have cat allergies but my niece and her boyfriend do and bella passed the alergy test with them also.

my bella is the same as urs...she hates being held. i can hold her standing up but to put her on my lap and try to sit with her is a big no no. i think part of it is the dog gets jelous and chases her away so she learned that she cant come near or suffer from the "wrath of jasmine". but since jasmine isnt aloud upstairs bella takes full advantage of that and gets her loving upstairs. she will lay on my belly and just love every second of it until she falls asleep there. mostly she sleeps at my head or feet but only near me....if my husband is in the bed with me she comes no where near him.

Very pretty!! Our Bella is the same. She does like to be around us though. At certain times she doesnt mind if my wife picks her up, but not so much me. Part of it with our bella is that we got her late, aroynd 16 weeks of age, and I don't think she was handled enough. Plus I don't think she cares much for our dog. They play, but Anna can get a bit rough, and doesnt stop playing, while after a bit bella has had enough!!

So far the kitten is super lovey, lots of kisses, loves to be held. When I came to bed last night, I found him sleeping on my wifes neck!!.

we also got bella late. i beleive she was around 6 months old and grew up in a house with no men so i think thats why she is afraid of my husband. she and the dog will ignore each other sometimes and other times they cant leave each other alone. its so cute when they do decide they like each other just a little.

they also say boy cats are more cuddley then females. so good luck with ur boy.
