I had the same issue. I did not receive the NOA2 hard copy. I called USCIS 2 times. They told me it was mailed and I had to wait 30 days. At 31 days I called and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor created a request to send a duplicate of NOA2. 2 weeks later I received duplicate NOA2. You do not need the NOA2 for the interview but you will need it for AOS.

does this not affect NVC process?

No, as mentioned by the previous poster, you will need the K1 visa petition approval letter, NOA2, later on during the AOS process. Did you by chance get, and keep, an email notification of your K1 visa petition approval?

What is important now is that you follow the K1 Flowchart and contact the NVC as indicated and get your Dept. of State case file number.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

No it does not affect the NVC process. You should be calling NVC to request your case number. When you call NVC give them your USCIS receipt number. It was 36 days after our approval for NVC to receive out petition.

Call back tomorrow, and keep calling every day until you get your case number. It moved very quickly for me once they told me they received our case.

Aug 5 - case received

Aug 6 - got the case#

Aug 7 - status changed to IN TRANSIT
